2 lbs up from my ud

I stepped on the scale this morning and I'm 2 lbs up from yesterday and feeling depressed about it. I know it's alot of water weight but I still feel gross. Today is my second dd and I woke up with hunger pains even though I ate 1600 cals yesterday. Sigh wish me luck today I'm all planned for it
Hopefully the number will go down tommarow

I find that on my UD's if I make sure I get in atleast 64 oz of water. It helps alot!!! Another thing, really to save your sanity......make one day a weigh in day and forget about the scale the other 6 days. Nothing will make you hate a WOE more than seeing a scale go up and down! So many factors that will make that happen but we dont think of them we just see a number on the scale and hate our day!

Yes, this will happen. And the scale will go back down. And it will go back up. Then down. Up. Down.

The overall trend will be downward. If weighing 1 x week helps you hold onto your sanity, then do that. But please understand that weight loss on JUDDD (which IS the "UP day, DOWN day" diet in more ways that one!) is not going to be linear. No straight lines down the charts.

Pat (So Happy) has a vision of it that we all love that equates to weight loss on JUDDD with a ball bouncing down a staircase. The ball will bounce up and down constantly, but it will end up at the bottom of the stairs.

You won't need luck today, because with planning, you will know what you can eat for how many calories. Mentally, it may help to allow yourself a few hundred more calories than you're allotted, and then try not to use them. But if you NEED them, USE THEM - with glee!

Really, you are just starting out and this woe has a lot to teach us. You will do better and better as you go along.

Started JUDDD 10/12/11 after LC.
MAINTENANCE since 11/12/11, & have lost more weight. I shake things up all the time with my version of Pirate Jenny's MUDDD, my "Fast 5" & other IF. ...low-moderate fat....and eating "healthy" foods 75+% of the time which lets me have real life and indulgences too I've reached my goals, improved my health & appearance, and enjoy my lifetime woe!

2 pounds is nothing. I've been known to go up 4 pounds after an up day. Yes, mostly water and most if not all will go away after your DD.

because of this very feeling, I only weigh after DD's

I definitely agree with all those who are suggesting that you only weigh once a week. It's also what Dr J advises in his book. Why put yourself through that anxiety? I weigh only once a week, ALWAYS after a DD and have a consistent weekly 2lb loss (so far ). One of the dangers of weighing each day is that you may be tempted to compensate with your UD cals and could end up causing a stall.
