I wanted to call today a DD - but I'll have to call it as a MD

Woke up - and our overnight guests had cooked breakfast!

So, anyway, ate that:
B: bacon, eggs, 2 slices of toast & butter (eaten before 8.45am) & coffee

S: Skinny Flat White
L: 2 rice cakes, salsa, 100g of pickled onions
S: cup of tea & rich tea biscuit
D: Veggie Burger & Salad (with dijonaise and hot sauce!)
S: Strawberry Ice

So, it wasn't the 450 cals it should have been - probably nearer 1000 - oh well.

Happy I didn't just go with the splurge I was tempted to do!

Up day today.

B: 1 toasted English muffin, 1 fried egg, 2 pork sausages, 1 T butter, 1 T Nutella (licked off of a spoon, yum) - 600 cals.

L: The Habit burger, few fries, little bit of vanilla shake - 1000 cals

D: grilled chicken thigh, pinto beans - 500 cals

It rained a lot last night, so the ground should be nice and soft. I'm going to spend the day pulling weeds in the backyard. If it clears up, we may take the family for a short hike.

Have a great day!!

Day one of JUDDD for me

-I began today on a Down Day and have made myself a HUGE protein shake which has gotten me through most of the morning and into the afternoon, just 150 calories and 26 grams of protein, will add a bar to that for another 150 calories and probably make a dish with shirataki noodles for supper which will bring me up to my 500 calories for the day. Not sure what I will do tomorrow for my UP day but the joy of that is you can eat whatever you want-I am sure at first I will eat all kinds of junk but fall back into eating healthier very quickly. My problems come when I feel like I have to deprive myself of things-I liking knowing if I just wait for an up day I can eat whatever I like!!

It's a DD with a caveat. I eat brunch every Sunday at church. So I ate this a.m. as usual and will simply fast the rest of the day until lunch tomorrow, @24 hours. My first week trying this so we'll see how it goes. Since I'm technically in maintenance the calories shouldn't be too far off if at all.

D: got b/s chicken thighs and chicken breasts in the crockpot with cheesy ragu sauce and chi chi's chunky salsa

Truffles its not bad at all, especially mixed in something like that. It gave it a nice creamyness without the calories of using cheese. And adding the parm cheese was really nice too.

Yesss!! Good readings! At least what I caught. Before meal was 88. 40 min: 90; 1 hour: 92; 2 hour: 90.

This is great, because as I said, it's sort of a typical meal for me when I am taking a day off cooking, or for lunch. I love a sandwich, chips, some dark chocolate & wine.
