Usually Don't, But sometimes I do

Here's the deal. I'm seriously not OCD about the scale most of the time. Just step on once when I wake up. UNLESS...

I feel like I'm about to lose...or that I deserve to lose......or I've been really good the day before, like yesterday when I had a 300 calorie DD...or if my first morning WI is earlier than usual like this morning. Had to get up early 'cos of a morning meeting DH had and wanted to get him a good breakfast, otherwise he will eat junk.

So, this morning, earlier than usual, I weighed 196. Not bad. -2 from yesterday morning. To be expected. Had a cup of coffee, got on line. Took a potty break and decided to step back on. with my PJs still on and I was down to my new low which I have only hit once so far. Yay! 195.6

I know it's not much. But staying this low for this long is just so great for me.

I'm not going to get back on the scale again today. I promise.

Good for you, Yam-Yam, that's terrific!

Yes, you are indeed a brave one - I won't DARE step on until I have contacts in (vs. glasses), wedding ring and watch off, absolutely no clothes on and nothing can have crossed my lips in at least 6 hours (and of course, I have to pee first). It's a very detailed routine that makes no sense at all - I also usually make my husband and the dog get out of the room before I commence with the weighing

Exactly! Me too! Though I haven't worn my wedding ring in a couple of months. Only draw-back to JUDDD. It won't stay on my finger.

ALWAYS step on scale again after a potty break...if for nothing else but sheer morbid curiosity.

Wow, Yam Yam, I never weigh myself after the first weigh-in after my bathroom break first thing in the morning. Ok, I've done it a few times but they were never numbers I wanted to see which is why I stopped doing it. Congrats on the loss!

I do the same thing if I have to weigh early. That extra hour or so in the a.m. often makes a difference! And I will strip down to my undies. LOL

Well, this is only the 2nd time I have hit that new low. As you know from my previous posts, I usually have to hit a "new" low between 4 and 6 times before it will go lower. It's just my friggin' body and I have to accept and love it. Oh, I do. I love my body.... for sure.... you betcha... Anyways...hitting it 2 times means only several more and it will be a new, "New" low. Can't wait!!

and I'm too lazy to take off my PJs plus, it was COLD in my house! At least in the bathroom where the scale is. I had to make a beeline to the fireplace in the living room to get warm.

hmmmmmm... I don't know, DeeDee...Someone once told me "If it's stupid and it works for you, it's not stupid." Don't you just love that??

If the alternative to stepping on it every time you can (and getting all that calorie burn from having to strip and re-dress each time) is to NEVER weigh or weigh less often and go into denial ----- then I say DO IT!

Any time in my life when I've gone for extended periods ignoring my scale, i have gotten into big trouble and gained bunches of lard. Just sayin'

Congrats Yam-Yam!!! I get totally nekked and take all jewelry and pee first thing in the morning and get on the scale.
But, i get in my workout clothes and have a good workout and then undress again right before getting in the shower and am always down!!! Sometimes only .2 but there have been times i was down .6 after working out. Now, i always get on the scale when i get up then again after i workout...lol I love seeing the lower number!!!

I was wondering if anyone out there was like me....

I get on the scale first thing in the morning and weigh in however I always wake up with puffy/tight hands..water retention, that's just how my body works. (I have been drinking more water during the day to try to release some of that.)

Anyway, I find that I get a much better weight if I am up a few hours. I eat my first meal of the day typically after 12pm so all I have in the morning is coffee. When I weigh, later in the day but before eating my first meal my weight is usually a pound and maybe even a pound and a half lower. This is the weight I use.

Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Another post-potty, pre-sip, everything off (well the ring and glasses stay on) weigher.

But I also find it fun to weigh at different times during the day just to see how clothes/food/liquids affect things. My MIL has a digital scale (mine's an old dial scale), and I've been known to weigh pre and post potty break out of curiosity. ROFLOL.

I also weigh at night before bed, as a check on the day to see how it went, and a preview of what I might be able to expect the next morning. Pretty much always 2 pounds heavier at night than morning.

LOL, I use the bathroom in the AM, I'm halfway undressed at that point anyway,
so I finish undressing and weigh. THEN I dress for the day and weigh again, so I
know how much today's outfit weighs. (3 1/2 pounds today) I can use the scale
any number of times now, without undressing!

Hmmmm, now why didn't I ever think of that? Good idea! I often weigh before bed too as I can usually guess pretty close whether or not the scale is going to drop. Unless I had a late dinner or lots to drink. It's an obsession. LOL
