I pushed a little too hard too and got a bounce that was still 148 2 hrs pp. That was after eating some Puppy Chow after an UD lunch (corn chex coated in chocolate/peanut butter/butter and powdered sugar, in case you don't know what that is). Not my smartest choice, but really yummy. LOL

Potatoes are ok, small amounts of grain are not an issue, sugar is still a problem. I'll only be having it on special occasions anyway, so I'm ok with it.

So it looks like it's getting better, but not 'cured'.

It's so interesting!!!
It's going to take time and experimentation, but it sounds like things have improved and may continue to do so. Baby steps.

Have you noticed what particular kinds of food spiked it lately? Was it sweets or carbs like potatoes, rice, pasta?

I'm very interested in this and hope you will continue to update.

I think in the long run JUDDD can make a big difference in BG's. I just don't how high in carbs one can go on UD's before it is negated.
I guess the bottom line is; it always pays to eat well whether it's UD or DD....Maybe we who have impaired BG's can't eat cake at every meal.

I agree, and I wouldn't want to. Ick. LOL Overall, I think we should shoot for healthy, clean foods for most of our intake. And then if this woe allows us to indulge in the occasional birthday cake or treat at family celebrations, well, that is just wonderful!

Just a few weeks ago, I was pretty convinced I'd never be able to have cake at parties again. But I had a few treats last week on vacation that didn't raise the roof. Then this week, it was obvious that I needed to keep it to "occasional" and if I overdue it, it's not going to go well for me. But I can so live with occasional, vs never.
