The original recipe is called "Leo's Brownie in a Mug."
I modified it to fit my needs and can't remember the original, so you'll have to do a search if you want her version.
Mine is:
6 T egg whites (50)
1 T Hershey's natural cocoa (10)
1 T Oat Fiber (not oat bran)
1 t Glucomannan powder (it works with or without)
1/4 t baking powder (again, it works with or without)
1/4 C any SF syrup (I've used DaVinci's hazelnut, coconut, and banana--all were good)

Spray mug or bowl with non-stick spray, mix all ingredients, and microwave for 2 1/2 minutes.

60 calories and 11 grams of protein. If I wait until mid-morning on a DD, this will get me through quite comfortably until lunch time.

I would bring dinner to YOU if I could - sounds like a lovely place you live.

Pretty much the same here in Central California. People always think of beaches and mild weather when they think of California, but it's NOT true!!!

Yes, it does get HOT in the inland. People forget Cali is a desert! At least you are near wine country. I'm a little jealous. We went to Lodi for our honeymoon, and then continued to San Fran and down the coast to Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo/Pismo Beach. We had a great time!

My in-laws live in Cambria, so we get to head over to the Pismo area pretty regularly. It's great. A far cry from the 110+ degree summer weather we get here!

We went there in September. It was gorgeous and foggy! It was crazy because it was sunny the entire drive and then we just hit his wall of fog. We drove over to the Hearst Castle and it was so foggy on the bus ride up. I was skeeeerrred!

Oh, yes... Phoenix. I drove through the area once, and it was a rather harsh place. It was in November, and I recall lots of wind. The tumble weeds couldn't even tumble - instead they were dashing at top speed across the highway in front of us!

...and you heard a coyote howl while the tumble weeds blew across the highway?

I guess, at least, it's sunny a lot! Who cares if it feels like you climbed inside your oven? Who cares that you can't shift gears in your car without 3rd degree burns on the palm of your hand? It's sunny!

I've never used oat bran, so I don't know if you can or can't use it. I only know it's different from Oat Fiber, which has no usable calories. Oat bran does. I also don't know what the texture is like with oat bran. You could try it with the oat bran, count the calories, and let us know how it is.

I use oat bran as a hot cereal. It can also be used for baking but 1/4 cup of oat bran is 120 calories. It is available in grocery stores near the grits, cream of wheat etc.
