They're not AWFUL plain, but they're plain.
I eat these:

With this:

Total for this snack: 1 popcake with 1 TBS of this peanut butter is 66 calories!

Thanks! It's exciting! And YES to the Boursin. Great as pizza "sauce." I also recommend machego, cabra al vino and iberico cheeses with a little fig butter on cracker....

I decided to buy apples organic when I can from now on since they are a heavily sprayed fruit, and because I want to start eating an apple a day. Before when I wanted one, I would wash it forever and/or peel it. This way I can eat the peel. I still washed it with a fruit/veggie spray though.

I am so glad I'm on a woe that allows apples! I really think they are health powerhouses that perhaps get taken for granted nowadays since they are so commonplace.

I noticed back when I was having the gall-bladder upsets or whatever that was, that eating an apple helped soothe it almost immediately. Apple juice didn't seem to have quite the same good effect, it had to be a whole apple.

And apples have these wonderful nutrients - polyphenols. You can read all about that on WHFoods site. So anyway, I thought it would be worth it to buy apples as organic. In fact a bag of them wasn't much more $ than a couple other non-organic varieties at the store.

I love apples! McIntoshes are my favorite! I will now go buy some!

A good snack/meal is to take a tortilla, put some shredded cheddar on, then some slices of apples and roll up. I pan fry in a non-stick pan for that grilled, crispy flavor. Or use two tortillas and make a cheese/apple quesadilla.

I wonder if it helps your gall bladder issue because of all the fiber? Fiber is supposed to help with gall bladder attacks and apples are loaded with it.

In the FD portion of my day, but my allergies have kinda wiped out my appetite for now.

I just had about a cup of whole milk plain yogurt with strawberries and blueberries. I'll probably go have some decaf tea.

Later I'm putting a Marie Callander lasagna in the oven and will heat some marked-down bakery bread which I'll use for cheesy garlic bread. Also throw together a little salad.

Gosh, DD, you always know the best stuff to make! Do you make a dessert by putting any cinnamon, sugar, and butter in that quesadilla?

When I told a nurse in my dr's office about how apples seemed to help, she immediately said it was because of the fiber. I've also heard the malic acid they contain helps soften up anything in the gallbladder.

I spend way too much time looking up recipes online, reading cookbooks, and watching the Food Network. I've never made the cinnamon sugar tortillas, but I bet Hubby would like that! I do use the extra pie dough to make cinnamon sugar cookies though, so kinda close!

I just found an old cookbook that had these caramel shortbread things in them. I had never heard of these things! They look divine!

I didn't know about the malic acid part - that's really interesting!

Had 1 glass of wine, and I think that will be all the wine for me for the night. It often doesn't settle well with me anymore in a variety of ways. Plus I read it has histamines which can make allergy attacks worse, so... no more tonight at least.

Just had 1 square Lindt 90% dark chocolate and 1/2 T. Jif natural peanut butter.

I guess my appetite has been stimulated because I'm looking forward to dinner, which is Marie Callander lasagna, garlic bread, salad with tomato, avocado, bacon, colby-jack cheese, etc.

I take a benadryl after I drink my wine. Not sure if it's recommended, but I sure do sleep like a baby.

Dinner sounds good! When should I be over?

Lunch was cucumber and tomato with Balsamic Breeze, 1 wedge chipotle fresco laughing cow.

Dinner ended up being 5.6 oz swai with garlic/ginger paste and 3/4 C green beans. YUM!

For the dinner outing, ended up having one small glass of white wine, bunless flame grilled burger medium rare and about 1/4 of my steak fries. Was still under my calories, so just had a big piece of Ubriaco cheese and calling it a night.
