help when to carb load for fitness test?

I have my military expres test Thursday morning at 11 AM which I have been training pretty hard for...this has been a challenge as I was just released by my surgeon to start exercise January 19th after my hysterectomy October 19th..
I am pretty confidant I will pass but I have been pushing myself and would like to excel and this is my first time doing this type of test on JUDDD.

So Wednesday (tomorrow) is a DD and Thursday (the day of the test) is an UD. In the past despite LC I have always carb loaded the night before and the morning of... no junk food WholeWheat pasta for dinner with protein and oatmeal for brekkie mixed with protein powder and banana.

But...WW pasta has 310 calories/serving...my DD number is 348 although while training this last couple of weeks I have been around 500.

Should I MUDDD? If I do, how do I get out of MUDDD back into UD/DD rotation? Or just call two MD in a row and get back into rotation?

Or perhaps after reading Beebs post on how simple this WOE is I am over thinking it too

Anyhoo, any advice pls would be truly appreciated.

Big Hugs,
(and please wish me luck)
nikki.

Hmmmm, I think the best option would be to make Wed a higher cal DD/MD. I would save most of the cals for the evening and have a balanced meal including protein and fat. A baked potato is a good idea as well for carbs...you just want enough carb to make sure your glycogen stores are full. If WW pasta is your thing, then do that too. Honestly, if you eat enough protein, that will fill your glycogen stores too...

Ok, sorry for the tangent...basically, I'd do an higher DD/MD with calories loaded towards the afternoon. Then, on Thurs, do a lightish breakfast.

Good luck!

I'm sure others will be along with some better advice.

Brown rice is 170 calories per 3/4 cup cooked. I would choose that over pasta. Just my opinion.
Good luck in all your endeavours!!!

I think I'd just eat what I felt I needed to to do well on the test, even if it meant 2 or 3 UD's in a row. DD after the test and back to regular rotation.

Yep - either do what you know you need to do - it's only 1 day after all!

or

call the day before a MD - eat normally as per a DD until the evening and then eat a really good meal in the evening - whatever you normally would do.

I would be tempted to go with the first option - this is something you want to be successful at!
