WOE: Whatever plan keeps me around 150 lbs!
Mini Goal Rewards

So, as I'm nearing the 50 lb. mark, I am trying to come up with a good reward. At 25 lbs, I bought some new jeans, which are a bit baggy now. I think this time, I don't want it to be clothing related. I'm thinking about maybe a new pair of earrings, a better scale (because I actually LIKE to weigh now, and want to know about water and muscle mass etc.), or -- here's a weird one -- permanent eyeliner (I often have itchy eyes, so I don't wear it, and would like to).

What are some rewards you've given yourself for goals acheived? They don't have to be weight-related goals.

How about a nice Tanita scale. I love mine and it weighs in decimals and did I say I love it?

I saw a TV show with someone that had had the permanent eyeliner done many years ago and it did not age well. Yikes!!!

Go with the permanent eyeliner! I've had the permanent liner, full lips and eyebrows for 15 years. The eyebrows and the lips have faded as to be almost non-existent but the eyeliner hasn't faded a bit! Love it! Great gift to yourself! My real gift when I reach goal (probably a year away) is a month in France. I've been to Paris fat and I want to go skinny like all those lovely Parisian women! Woohoo!!!!

Since we have UDs, we can have food rewards. I know they say (diet people) not to reward yourself with food, but I would a nice steak dinner at Ruth's Chris or Flemings, or fondue at the Melting Pot.

Besides that...what about doing something you love? Like, taking a weekend to go somewhere. I'd go wine tasting, camping, or to a great Bed and Breakfast (even one in town).

50 lbs is a major milestone. Depending on how much you have to lose, I would buy myself some new panties (everyone needs good fitting undies), some new shirts (you can wear them longer without them looking awful) - maybe at old navy or target because they have good deals. What about an inspirational necklace or ring? I have my "faith hope love" necklace and ring years ago and I still wear them a lot (I bought them after a bad relationship to remind me to have faith and hope and that love will always be in my life).

I just planted a few citrus tress and a few stone fruit trees and I'm so afraid of killing them! I have a black thumb! I dream of having a garden and plan on putting one in next year, but I'm sure I will kill everything.

I envy your gardening skills!

All good ideas. I like the tattoo idea (if we had some cool JUDDD symbol, I'd totally do it!) and the faith jewelry. And of course shoes! I would love to be able to garden, but I kill everything.

ETA: Maybe we could ask Majella or another creative JUDDDer to come up with a symbol for us??

I'm going to force my hubby to get out my space bags of smaller clothes :0 It is a reward in itself to gain more closet space by getting rid of too-big items.

and I am getting my raised garden beds done, finally.
My organic seeds are germinating as we speak.

A JUDDD symbol - good idea We could come up with something between all of us, I'm sure. Just to get ideas rolling.... Wikipedia has someone's sirtuin art - it reminds me of confetti or party popper! File:1SZD.png - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It sure would be a conversation starter when someone saw your tattoo.

And those of us who won't be getting the tattoo could get t-shirts or jewelry made with the symbol If by chance we ever saw anyone with the symbol, we'd know they were a fellow JUDDD bud.

I haven't read all the posts so this may be repeats, but other reward ideas: dinner out at a place you've always wanted to go but haven't tried yet (could be expensive or not); overnight vacation/spa pampering; new lingerie; new appliance or cookware; start taking lessons for something you're interested in whether it's art, learning an instrument, type of cooking, sport, etc.

When I got to goal it was right before the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays and I gave myself a "reward" of eating both these holidays till my heart's content of all the foods I didn't allow myself while LCing, including the Mexican Wedding Cookies!!!

What a wonderful reward THAT was!!

While I was losing, it was clothes. Before I lost weight I HATED shopping. Once it started coming off I had to replace my entire wardrobe several times and actually enjoyed doing it. (Fortunately, I did most of my shopping at consignment/re-sale shops & thrift stores.) I didn't want to reward myself with food because that would set me back a few days and I wanted it off as quick as I could do it. LOL

Now, if I'm maintaining well, I give myself a free day each week. If I'm up on the scale, no free day. LOL

I have several tattoos. Always looking for my next one. I kind of like the SIRT1 graphic, but it's a little busy. I think I may do a search and see if I can find a simplified version.

We could soooooo easily make T-shirts. If someone does come up w/ a JUDD logo, we each can print it out on the iron on paper you buy at office supply stores and then iron it on to the flattering Tee of our choice! Or, on to a canvas bag. I made iron on Tees for our whole family at our last family reunion. So fun. !

I thought it would be fun to make those necklaces that use wire to spell out a name, but instead do "JUDDD." You could do bracelets too.

I'd wear a T-shirt! A cute one! Or a tank!

Great thread!! When I was LCing, I wasn't losing much, so didn't really think in terms of a reward for good weight loss. But now that I am JUDDDing, I can realistically see that I will be losing, so I thinking along the lines of doing a getaway or something to reward myself, oh I know, a massage!!
