How low can you go??

I was reading that originally the DD was intented to be zero cals with this Woe.. and folks found it hard to do so it was upped to 500 or below.. for greater success with the masses who tryed this plan.. so i ask.. how low can you go on a DD to improve the sucess of this plan? What kind of numbers are you all shooting for that feels comfortable for you? I have found that about 250 works for me and i really dont feel any discomfort from that...

The calculator told me 350 so that was my goal but I usually came in at 220-250. My weight loss slowed and I bounced up and down between 170 and 172 for a long time. I raised my DD calories to 500 and my UD calories to 1900-2000 and I am again losing weight. So I guess it shows that everyone loses at a different calorie level.
Less is not good for everyone. And yes, I read the book so that is why I was trying to eat less than 350 on DD's. I am not willing to do a total fast every other day. 500 calories is really quite easy and I have enough to eat to sustain me but not enough to make me gain.

Some completely fast. I just go with what I feel comfortable with. I aim for around 400 - happy to go to 200 (or less, if the day is easy) and if I need it up to 600 - 750 - if truly necessary (ie 2 x in 4 months!)

I stay between 150-280. Haven't gone over 300 on a DD. I don't think I could do 0 calories though. 250 is comfortable. Although a couple weeks ago when it was TOM it was not so easy so next time I feel like that I'll probably up the calories just a little.

Thanks sweetheart.. i am still waiting on whats called that JUDDD magic to happen... ive had success with the plan since day one.. but ive heard it take two to three week for it to fully kick in.. i really should just leave my dang numbers alone.. but im a lil OCD when it comes to playing with my intake lol..My thoughts are if i go lower my body should lose faster on those days, but i never thought about the fact that eating may actually encourage the body to release what it dont need because it was fed.. so thanks girl!!

WOE: JUDDD/PHD, LC now that my BG is getting weird
Start Date: JUDDD 1/1/12 + LCHF 12/1/13 (controlling diabetes)
Experimentation has showed if I drop below 350 cals three DDs in a row, I stall.

I seem to feel and lose best between 400 - 500.

Well heres one thing that i have noticed since starting JUDDD.. every day for years i get a headache from the lights i thought at my job.. since starting this WOE.. it just dawned on me.. no headaches!!

That is good to know... i know i can not do zero.. due to my addiction to coffee with my creamer.. i am drinking 180 cals every day in my coffee alone.. and dont plan to give those up for ANY food lol.. i love my coffee almost as much as JUDDD

lmbo.. thanks Nancy... i think i have become comfortable now with the up scale days for i know it will go down... weird, but i like it.. it shows me that my body is responding.. i just pray its keeps responding the in the current downward trend.. if so, i should hit my march goal of 205 here real soon!!! whooopppieee

According to the calculator, my DD number is 407. If I'm hungry on DD's, I will eat to or under that. Very rarely over. I don't sweat it if I get to 500 though. Sometimes I'm not hungry on DD's and just fast.

i do 350 - 400 cals. i have to since i am doing Kruse leptin reset while doing JUDDD and that calls for at least 50 grms protein for breakfast. i like the benefits so much that i dont want to give that up. so i have 57 g protein from homemade buffalo jerky and about 255 cals. then maybe 2 oz meat and some veggies later on.

i love jerky!! Going to pick up some today as a matter of fact.. well i have had sucess so far starting day 11 today with a dd.. and i am goin to leave my dang numbers alone for sure.. i have seen a steady loss since ive started this woe.. i cant imagine what my juddd magic will bring seeing as since the seond day i started with a loss.. well girls i am still having that whole newbie excitment!!! and holy cow can i see the inches dissapearing...i do see hope for the future for me.. IM SOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!

Like you, I lost steadily from my first DD (one pound a week, but after almost three months stalled I appreciated that). On DD Wednesday of my fourth week I realized I felt different, less hungry, more energy, more focused, something...I just felt right. Since then I range from two to two and a half pounds/week. I assume that was the magic enzymes kicking in.

Start Date: eating lowcarb since 2005
I tried going down to almost zero calories and then about 250 or so but i felt horrible on that low of calories, very jumpy and grumpy and lethargic. I didnt lose any better so it wasnt worth it. I feel great on right at 500 so thats what i stick to. There are times it lower and times it has gone a little higher but there is no way i will be fasting again. I just didnt feel good. The JUDDD magic keeps me pretty satiated on DD's at about 500 or less. Today i have only had about 250 so far and feel great.
