There you are, my friend!!

Good for you working out so much! I remember when you started and now, look at you!!!!

I rejoined the gym after a 3 month hiatus and am doing Slow Burn again---20 m. 3x a week, and within a month, I'll re-assess my progress and see if I can go 2x a week.

Tomorrow I will be starting Zumba classes.

Not sure if you're aware that we do have an exercise thread so if you want to post there also, that's good too!

Hey Gracie!

Yes, I'm baaaaaaaack!

Good job on re-joining the gym . Zumba sounds fun! I have yet to try it!

I wasn't sure if there was an exercise board thread or not! I'll join you all there instead.

Well I haven't been as active following an injury but I'm getting back in the groove. Did a 30 min workout this morning. It was an old school vid called bodies in motion! I want to get back to 3 or 4 workouts a week.

I work out! I working out!

M: Body pump
T: Ballet class
W: Barre Fitness
Th: Vinyasa pilates
F: Body pump and now zumba
Sat and Sun: Maybe a hike but will probably add a pilates or barre fitness class now that I don't have to work on Sundays!

Because of all this exercise, including weight training, I decided to calculate my calories using the 1-3 days/light exercise option. I am always hungry, so it helps me add some calories back in without overdoing it (at least I hope so). I also just today recalculated my calories using my goal weight, so they went down a little and I will probably struggle for a few days, but I'll live.

Edited to add: I am also working around some injuries. I love to exercise though, so I had to find options that wouldn't hurt me as much. The pain is there exercise or not, so I may as well exercise! I just have to watch my limitations (which is tough because I'm stubborn!)

I have been working out consistently 5-7 times per week since January, 2011. Last week we were out of town and I missed 5 days in a row with no exercise whatsoever and I missed it! But I knew it was coming so I actually exercised MORE the weeks before to help make up for it. I'm a bit fanatical about it. LOL

I started out with just walking on the treadmill at home (and outside but only when the weather was decent, which wasn't often that time of year). I walked daily missing only a few days in 16 weeks. Started out with 30 minutes but quickly moved up to an hour.

Once I had lost 50 pounds and had built up some stamina and muscle (I was pretty sedentary prior to this) I started working out with weights and did that 3 times a week for the rest of the year along with walking on my off days. I also biked outdoors but not as often as I would have liked (it's just too windy here many days). In the fall as it got too cool to walk outdoors I discovered walking videos which were a welcome addition to my routine as I got burnt out on the treadmill. LOL

This year I wanted more variety so I have added working out at the gym once a week using their weight machines, elliptical and incumbent bike (I do high intensity intervals on that). I also started yoga and kick boxing using videos at home.

I always workout first thing in the a.m. for a minimum of one hour and it's often more like 1.5 - 2 hours. When the weather's nice I get in even more because I love to hike and bike and will take a walk in the evenings after dinner.

Like I said, I'm a little fanatical about it. LOL

I workout everyday. I actually took sat off which is a miracle for me...lol

Today was turbojam cardio party 1. Love this workout. Also went to the lake during my lunch today and walked the 2 mile trail. Its a DD too so I'm in the negative! I love that but holy crap I have been hungry!

I didn't know that...I will have to check it out! I love body pump! It makes weights fun and it's so nice to get a full body workout all at once! It's a tough class too!

I've been using the 1/3 days for the calculator since I re-started my weight training because my hunger quotient has increased quite a bit.

I only do 20 minutes of weights, but it is Slow Burn, and I'm doing some fairly heavy weights now.

Another exerciser here and a total JUDDD newbie. DD#2 here. Regular exercise is 30-45 mins of treadclimber 4-5 days per week, yoga on Thursdays (GULP! that would be today, a DD!), Bowflex weights 1-2x per week. We'll see how tonight goes...

You'll do great! I have never had a problem working out on a DD. You might get a little lightheaded the first time, but just don't push too hard and drink water! If I'm really hungry on a DD that is a workout day, I might have a 50 cal babybel cheese or half a protein shake before a work out.

Shelby I love a morning workout on a DD, still full of all those lovely UD nutrients.

Since folks are posting here... I will too. I had been posting in the other exercise thread. Glad to have you all here.

I worked out all week for 30-50 minutes each day. Today I am resting because I don't feel well. I will hit the pool in the am for a swim, plus run on the mill for 30.

Have a great weekend! Thanks again for posting here.

Let's keep this thread going!
