First week done!

It's hard to believe it's been a week already. The biggest challenge I've found so far is when I have to cook for the family on a down day.

I did 2 UDs in a row because I realized I have an extremely long midterm next Saturday, which would have been an UD - and there is no way I'd have gotten enough calories that day. According to my crappy scale that will be replaced when my Amazon order gets here, I had lost 2 lbs before that, then gained it back, and have lost it again. So not too bad.

I need to shop Tuesday for fat free/low fat versions of certain foods for DDs but I'm doing OK so far with what I have on hand. I need to get some coleslaw mix to try that cabbage dish that everyone raves about - I've never been a fan of cabbage, but I'll give it a try.

Not sure what else to say!

Two pounds lost in a week with a kind of crazy schedule is a great start!

to the dark side!

If cabbage doesn't do it for you, shredded/chopped broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, etc also works.

Congrats on a great start!

Just so you know for the future, if you ever find that you need to change your rotation again, you don't have to do two UDs in a row to accomplish this. You can insert a MD, which is basically a medium day where your calorie goal is right in the middle of your UD and DD numbers. It's a little kinder on the scale, but still lets you change up your days.

For example, if you wanted Monday to be a DD but today was supposed to be an UD, you could make today a MD, tomorrow then changes to an UD, and Monday would now be a DD. I try not to use MDs unless it's very necessary, though. I feel JUDDD is best done on a strict UD/DD rotation as much as possible.

Best of luck and !!

Thanks for the advice on doing a MD!

I did get some cabbage today but I won't be trying it till Tuesday. The store that had cabbage on sale wanted $3.99 for Laughing Cow! I was laughing at them! I can get a 3 pack for $7 at Sam's, but I can't get there till Tuesday.
