I was away this weekend and didn't have a scale or my computer. On Friday I had another DD, then I had two UD. I'm only 2.6 lbs over my lowest weight after hcg. Today was a DD and I tried to stick to 500 cals, but I think I got up to about 700 cals.
Tomorrow will be an UD where I plan to eat as normally as possible. Gee, I have no idea what normal is for me anymore after all this dieting. ![]() So this week is my trial week to figure out my DD and UD cals. I'm determined not to freak out when I see the scale move. I'm just going to focus on what works and what doesn't so that I learn quickly. Today's menu: coffee with hnh 3 oz tuna with mustard steamed red cabbage 2 pinches of pine nuts 8 almonds cabbage, carrots, onions - stir fried in a bit of coconut oil (I think the oil is what took me to 700) |

Tricialy,Some folks weigh after their DDs; others weigh weekly, and still others, like myself, weigh every day. I like to see what patterns my body is following, and I'm at a point where the scale does not intimidate me. I know there will be fluctuations; a lot more than I experienced on HHCG, but it's all good because after awhile those fluctuations become smaller and smaller. Don't be afraid.....just follow your allotted numbers and go with the flow. Looking forward to reading your success with JUDDD! |

Raises hand for weighing daily.
My 'up' fluctuations are getting smaller and smaller. But sometimes the weight really jumps (happened last weekend). Then I think about what I ate and how I felt when/after eating it. I think, for me, that is all part of figuring out what 'normal' eating really is. I am accumulating a list of "it's worth it" and "it ain't worth it" foods...because, let's face there are some special occasion foods that are worth a few day's weight loss slowdown ![]() PS: Rosali, that is a great DD menu! I'm already noticing a lower stress level regarding food. Normally, in P3 I'd stress over all the food that I can't have. Bread and pasta would be calling out to me. Now, I'm not interested in bread at all. I struggled to have breakfast because I knew I'd be too busy during the day to eat and wanted to get in as many cals up to 1800 as I could.
This is soooo different for me! Trying to eat my cals? Huh? Amazing! For dinner, nothing appealed to me. I had tons of options. I settled on the burger and happily discarded the bread. I picked on the chips and only had a few. I left the rest on the plate. OMG! This is so freeing for me. I can't go on enough. What freedom! I'm lovin' JUDDD!! |

Thanks DD80!! This is amazing.
I had to do an UD again today. I'm at the mercy of what's provided this week as I'm at an offsite event all week. But still my cals haven't exceeded my 1800 limit. So, I'm still not stressed. Even if I do UDs the rest of the week, I know that after a few DDs I'll be back down. It's such a good feeling. Once again, I made excellent choices. When my sandwich was given to me, I lost the bread immediately. No question. I passed on the juices and soda and looked for water. I passed on teh candy and had some nuts as a snack. No stress at all. Just good choices and no fear that my clothes wouldn't fit. I know you all understand how I feel. This is so liberating. I finally finished the book too. Yep, had to get that. I understand his reasoning. And I plan to read it again. It all makes sense. And, I know I can do it. DD was a breeze last time because I've done hcg so many times. When I get back to a normal schedule, I'll make my DDs 500 cals or less. Easy for me to do after hcg as I can simply use my hcg menus which were always 500 or less. Have all the foods and portions at home. |

Sorry I've been MIA. I can't believe that I'm only 1 lb over my LIW after hcg. This is amazing. So I'm going back on hcg to lose as much as I can in the next two weeks and I'll go back to JUDDD to maintain. This stair step method may finally get me back to my lowest ever weight.

I was S.T.A.R.V.I.N.G. Everytime someone mentions it, I get that starving feeling in the pit of my stomach remembering my agony. I did lose weight though (just didn't keep it off...went crazy in P3). Anyway, good luck! and we can't wait to see you back here soon! |

DD80 - Yep I did JUDDD while on a break from hcg and I absolutely love it. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't have appetite suppression with hcg. I completely lose my appetite and I lose really well as my job is so crazy that I have no time to eat or snack. My problem has never been losing, it's been maintaining once I start introducing carbs. I noticed that I don't have the same sensitivity to carbs on JUDDD.
I was down 1.4 today so I'm starting off well. I've always been so wary of maintenance, and now after JUDDD, I'm looking forward to it.Go figure, huh? |

Another successful hcg day. I went for a walk this afternoon. The warm air felt good. I'm already planning my UD and DD JUDDD menus for my upcoming P3.

DD80 - I noticed that you're 5' 10" and in the 170's. That's so awesome! I'm 5' 9" and the lowest I've been on hcg is 159. I'm trying to get into the 160's by the end of this round of hcg and then go JUDDD all the way to get into the 150's. For the first time, I think I can get there. I know you can reach your goal too.

Great hcg weekend! Continued losses and no hunger. I found a green jasmine unsweetened tea at the grocery store that, mixed with water and a bit of stevia, makes it really easy to drink a lot during the day. Think I'll continue with this for awhile.
I'm in countdown back to JUDDD. Unlike my first try, I will be online each day and able to post my menus etc. |

aarosali.. how long did you do phase 3 & 4 before starting this new round? And do you inject or do sublingual? Just curious. I've done 3 hcg rounds for a total loss of about 89 pounds BUT this phase 3 has been challenging. My mood was horrible when I ended my last round and I ate out of control the first 2 weeks of phase 3 PLUS I added walk aerobics AND weight lifting to my daily routine. Anyway, I'm getting back on track this week doing some CD's then am going to look to start JUDDD. I'm about 15 pounds above my LDW BUT 9 pounds above where I was stable for about 1 1/2 weeks. My phase 4 starts tomorrow technically. However, I'm doing CD's for the next couple days to see if I can get off a chunk of weight before JUDDDing. Thanks for posting your success with JUDDD in between your rounds and I hope you have a GREAT round!!

Based on all I've read on this board, it's clear to me that once we find our 'sweet spot' DD and UD for maintainence and for losing, JUDDD will carry us the rest of the way after hcg. I'm looking forward to that. |

I would suggest that you combine CDs with JUDDD. Depending on what CDs you're doing, you may be able to lose very well. For example a steak day is a perfect DD menu. So is an egg day. For UDs you can do a nut day, or a high fat day. Just my thoughts. Last edited by aarosali; 03-19-2012 at 06:32 PM.. |

shirleychef - I forgot to mention that I inject. I found that my best dose is between 166 and 170 per shot. The 125 that was recommended is too low for me.

DD80 - thanks so much!!
I reviewed the nutrition book I received with my Insanity workout. It has meal plans that are broken down into 400, 300, 200 and 100 cals. It recommends that you eat 5 times a day. All you have to do is pick five of the meals with the number of cals you need to make up your cals for the day. I think it may help me to figure out UDs. I figure that I can do my hcg menus for DD and use some of Insanity meals on some DDs for variety. Anyhow, I think I have a plan. Will be buying food over the weekend. Today is my last day of 500 cals without a dose of hcg. Funny I'm thinking that this is what a DD of 500 cals would feel like. I'm definitely hungry. Had a double portion of fish for lunch. Have had 445 cals so far today and it's only noon. Typically I have a bit more than 500 cals when I'm ramping up from P2 to P3, so I plan to have more food later. But I was thinking, if this is a DD would I be able to make it? Don't have the answer, but had the thought. We'll see. I haven't had the UD carryover of cals to see what a DD of 500 will feel like. The first time I tried JUDDD I ate at about 800 cals or so. I also need to remember that I plan to do my DDs on MWF which are busy work days where I have no time to think about food.
That's all for now. Just my musings... |

Okay peeps/Juddd buddds, this is it. I'm on Juddd from this point. I'm in it for the long haul. Today is a MD. Had an awesome protein breakfast with hubby. Eggs and fish. About 400 cals. Won't be able to weigh until Thursday morning.
