B: Protein Shake
L: Protein Shake
D: Italian restaurant with hubby's parents. Probably half of my veal piccata and veggies.

The dinner on the DD is a little scary, but I know doable. I just didn't think of any options besides the protein shakes. I guess I could have packed some babybels and some blueberries. I just didnt think of it. B and L will be 310 cals, so I might go over a little over my 500 I'm trying to stick to with dinner, but not by much.

Everyone seems to have coffee with HWC for breakfast or NOTHING. I don't know how you guys do it. I had quite a calorie fest yesterday and I am starving for breakfast! I'm not a coffee drinker either...TEA ALL THE WAY FOR ME, but I couldn't live on 60 cals of cream for breakfast...or fast till lunch or dinner!?!??! I think I'd die. Yes, I'm sure I'd just die.

For me, it just works better. As soon as I eat, my body starts wanting more. When I eat a small breakfast and a small lunch, I'm starving! If I wait until about 2-3 pm, I'm not hungry until about 1 or 2, and not even that hungry then.

Just shows how different we all are.

My menu:
B: coffee w/ Splenda
L: (mid-afternoon) cabbage, chicken, laughing cow
D: Not sure yet, probably fish and vegetables
S: an orange, or maybe some strawberries

Shooting for fewer than 500 calories.

See, I'm just the opposite. I'm not that hungry when I wake up regardless of what I ate the day before. Plain coffee for me extends that lack of hunger even further with good appetite suppression for most of the day. However, the minute I start eating, it stimulates my appetite and I just want to eat more. If I started eating at breakfast time, I'd never make it through a DD.

Also, I have the tendency to want to eat something after dinner most times, because I don't get to bed until sometimes a good 4-6 hours after dinnertime. If I started eating early on for breakfast, it just doesn't leave me much (or anything at all) for a good dinner along with something extra just in case before bedtime.

I'm almost never hungry at b'fast time, so it makes it easy to extend the lack of appetite with black coffee or tea.

I used to drink black coffee 99% of the time, but I've started drinking more tea lately now. It helps that I finally found a brand of tea I like (Punjana Irish B'fast - it's rich, bold as coffee which I love, while most other brands of tea are too weak and watery for me).

In fact, I brew it in the coffee pot so I can make more and have it hot and ready all morning... I put a regular coffee filter in the coffee pot, then 2 Punjana Irish B'fast tea bags (they are large bags), then 4 - 6 c. water. Really enjoy the convenience this way.

I used to drink irish breakfast tea (IBT). LOVED it and loved that it came is beautiful green bags (weird, I know...). I stopped the Earl Grey and IBT when it started coming out that black tea was bad for you. I don't know if it's true or not (hell, I can't tell that about anything anymore). I was also cutting down on caffeine at that time and switched to decaf green and peppermint.

I now drink jasmine green tea and peppermint tea mixed together. You've inspired me to buy a box of IBT again. I really used to love it.

Ooh, I'm gonna look for this tea! Before JUDDD I was never a coffee drinker and actually prefered tea, but same as you, the watery and weak flavor just doesn't do it for me anymore, especially on DDs.

Starving after grocery shopping, but I finally got my cabbage dish made!

And it's deeeliscious!!!

I did the Irish version I've been wanting to try where I cut up 2 oz. turkey kielbasa in small pieces and fried these. Then put a little chicken broth and the coleslaw mix in and cooked. Added a few dashes Old Bay (just cause I love it in this kind of thing), salt and pepper. Baked a potato in the microwave about 4 min., then cut that up and added to the skillet. Little more chicken broth. Little more salt, tons black pepper. Melted 1/2 T. butter into the dish and stirred well.

Yum!

400 calories for the whole skillet.

It's an up day and I just had a root canal so not sure what I want at this point.
The anesthetic has made me nauseous. I bought stuff to make a malted milk shake and some smoothies, so guess I will have to do that.

I have to go back for part two next week and that will be a down day, so that works.

UD today.

I usually don't post on UDs, as I tend to snack my way through the day and tend to treat myself some. Sometimes I'm almost embarrassed that I eat this way and still expect to, and DO, lose weight, lol!

My, how I love JUDDD...

B: English toffee cappuccino (237)
Mid-morning: dark chocolate oatmeal (160)
L: homemade chicken noodle soup (it was Soup Day at work!), English muffin topped with turkey and melted Swiss (369)
Snacks: russel stover dark chocolate coconut cream heart, small reese's PB heart, 1/2 small cup of skinny cow ice cream, a slice of lite toast topped w/turkey and Swiss (340)
D: no idea, but i'm only at 1100 calories so far...750 still to go.
