MIL saw my picture on facebook (we don't see each other too often) and called me to offer me her size 14 clothes she's getting rid of. She thought maybe they would already be too big for me! She's also lost some weight. I told her to keep them in a box for me and I'd be needing them soonish.

I just want to record my victory of saying goodbye to diets and hello to the JUDDD way of eating. No more separate meals from hubby. No more fear of carbs. Mindful, yes. Fear, no.

In my free time on DD (instead of meals) I have successfully completed three sets of slippers by crochet. And I had to figure the pattern on first! Woo hoo. And that is two weeks...What will I do the next two weeks?

I'm with Kissa - this site fills my spare time nicely!
But, for my very own NSV - and a first for me He doesn't know about JUDDD, but keeps saying that my outfits are figure flattering. I don't recall he's ever been so positive about my wardrobe![]() |

Went to Ann Taylor last night on girls night out. Tried on twelves because the pants were my favorite color. They were way too big, no tens or eights. Sad

Okay, can you all see me grinning ear to ear?
![]() ![]() ![]() I noticed that my jeans seemed pretty baggy looking- almost overnight. To measure how I am doing, I buy a pair of jeans a size smaller than I am currently wearing and keep them out in view. Upon occasion, I try them on to see my progress. This pair of jeans wouldn't go up above my thighs when I bought them. Just to check my progress, I went to try them on. They go all the way up and I can snap them and ZIP them!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Okay they are still pretty snug around the waist, but I am going to wear them today. I am so happy!!!! I wish there was a cloud nine smilie!

I have to confess that lately I've been wondering if I'm really at this low weight or if it's all in my head.
It sounds nuts, but hear me out. ![]() I don't feel slender to myself, and in pictures sometimes I don't think I look that thin. I don't mean I think I look big in a distorted image way, just that I still feel like I should weigh about the same as I did 10# ago. For me, my now current average of 137# is quite a small weight and one that before JUDDD I could NEVER maintain without too much painful restricting of calories. Now it's effortless. ![]() I guess I can hardly believe that I'm "small" until I see the numbers on the tape measure, on the scale, raise up my shirt and look at my belly profile in the mirror, try on my goal pants... I can hardly believe that I'm in smaller sizes until I put them on. I guess I don't FEEL tiny in my own skin. And I don't get much feedback on it from people in my daily life - even my DH doesn't remember that I was big (until I showed him THAT pic from last summer and even then he still couldn't believe it, lol). Maybe some of this way I was thinking/feeling is that I've been going through pre-Tom and now Tom-related bloat and blahhh. ![]() So tonight, I was with a fairly new friend, and she suddenly said out of the blue, "You are thin. Have you lost weight?" It made me feel good. I went on to briefly tell her how I'd gained the weight and that I was now doing a type of intermittent fasting... describing it as simply as I could. She nodded her head and seemed interested but we didn't get to talk about it anymore then. She's a very honest, kind person and can be blunt, but in a good, sweet kind of way. I feel pretty good, like you do when you get a complement that sort of puts the final validation on what you knew. ![]() When I first met her, I was on JUDDD and down to between 140 - 145#. I'm now averaging around 137#. I can't explain, but it just made me feel good to have someone say and really mean that I looked small and that it was a positive thing. Because sometimes our own view of ourselves gets distorted or fuzzy, due to hormonal vision (lol) or bloat, or just seeing ourselves in the mirror day after day, or getting stuck in old "heavier me" thinking. It's like the scales and the tape measure and my own clothes telling me I was small were a too-good dream. ![]() Not sure if I was able to explain this well. I hope it didn't come out sounding off-putting somehow cause that's sure not how I intended it. Oh, and it's not that I doubted JUDDD's power. It's just that it's SO GOOD, it's always showing me it's even better than I thought. ![]() I just decided to believe that yes, I am maintaining effortlessly at the smallest consistent weight that looks good on me in my entire adult life. It's true. It's one of the magical things JUDDD has done for me. ![]()

Thank you both!
Sophie, it does take awhile for our brains to make a new body image doesn't it? And getting validation means so much. Well I SAW your pictures and you ARE really at that low weight and it all isn't in our head. You really inspire so many of us. This is the greatest statement ever.... yes, I am maintaining effortlessly at the smallest consistent weight that looks good on me in my entire adult life. woo hoo Sophie!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Woohoo to all these victories!
And Sophie, I saw those pics of you in your new tops, and you are DEF slim and trim and looking good! My victory today, I had to go over a notch on my belt. I've been between holes for a couple weeks--too loose at the old spot, too tight one in. Today it was just right. |

Congrats to everyone! These are truly inspiring, and so fun to read when I know how hard you've all worked.
Was coming out of a public restroom yesterday evening, and suddenly got that uh-oh! panic that I'd forgotten to fasten my jeans. Scrambled backwards inside, and no, they were fastened – they just don't dig in anymore; they're actually getting a bit loose in the waistband! Great, because I've been stuck on 149-151 (slight increase, even) for more than a week and it doesn't appear to have been TOM like I'd desperately hoped. |

Marge that is great. So good to see some proof of your success when the scale is being difficult. Yay!
I so agree, the bulges I had are not bulging any more. Sadly I have to report that my skin does fit right anymore. Anyone remember the Saggy Baggy Elephant story? |

Well one of my victorys was when my wedding ring which was tight.. i can actually put on my right hand now.. my right ring finger was always a full size bigger than my left.. so this was exciting
not that i would wear it on the wrong hand.. but it was still cool to have it fit! |

I know this has been said before... but I am just amazed... I had gastric bypass 7 years go... Stayed at my lowest of 163 for 2 seconds and started gaining again without really changing much of anything.
Ive battled weight ALLLLLLLl my life... Ive had a thyroid condition for 18 years now which made the battle that much harder. Finally my endocrinologist tested me for diabetes due to my continued wt gain, inability to regulate my thyroid and significant family history... My A1C was 6.1 an indicator of pre-diabetes... This spurred me to start watching my carbs.... 20-30 per meal.. 3lbs on the scale... okay... going the right way. but geez.. NO/low carbs for the rest of my life.... ![]() Then I found JUDDD and for the first time in 5 years... Ive been able to lose wt without much issue... dont feel deprived and different for everyone else... The measuring tape says its working... the scale says its working... and my oldest daughter (who tells it like it is) tells me its working.... ![]() ![]() ![]() Cant wait to see where my body goes with this..... Hugs to all Karen |
