This is JUDDD-- I'm in control of my choices, and I don't feel deprived!

I'm getting caught up on this wonderful thread....

Sorenkkg, me too! Its AMAZING! I thought about going through the drive thru for some espresso treat, but didn't. I'm having an apple instead!

WOW! I've never ran 5 miles (at one time anyway haha) in my whole life! Hooray for you!

You don't have to have celiacs or any other intestinal disorder to have adverse symptoms from grains. Have you read or heard of Wheat Belly by William Davis? Really was an eye opener. I don't totally avoid grains but I used to pig out on them and I rarely eat them now.

Keep up the good work, Thinking!

I love this thread!

I've been MIA and getting very relaxed with JUDDD, maintaining for a few months. My NSV is that lately I've put on 2lbs, and instead of freaking out, hating myself and going on a "what's the use?" binge, I noticed it, decided it was time to lose a few more, and made the calm, loving and sane choice to spend more time here and pay more attention to what I'm eating. Simple, beautiful, JUDDD!

you all.

I never considered alternate day fasting before because I JUST LIKE TO EAT too much! When I found LC I thought that would be the ultimate answer. On LC I could eat as much as I wanted, within reason of course, as long as it was not carby. No bread, potatoes, cookies, candy, you know the drill.

I would do fine for awhile, then backslip a little, but in the last two years I have always at least maintained. I have to. If I don't my blood sugar, blood pressure, and all that fun stuff will go out of control. It had to become a health issue for me before I took weight loss seriously.

Over the past weeks I've been stressed over just not getting the scale to budge. Sticking to LC foods got more difficult and I knew there had to be something different to try.

What is that saying? When the student is ready the teacher will appear...or something like that. Well, thats what happened for me. I had seen the letters JUDDD here on the boards and even checked it out a little, but when I saw it was about FASTING I thought NO WAY.

Finally, I decided why not give it a chance. Especially since so many of you just ADORE it! I thought it can't be all that bad. There is so much information here, the health benefits are very impressive, and it really is doable. <<that word looks funny haha.

This past week I have dropped 3.8 lbs, ate some non LC foods, just a little though, but enjoyed the popcorn or potato tremendously, been in a much better mood, and just know I have found "The Way" for me.

Thanks to all of you for your great tips and info, encouragement and support. It keeps me coming back here and stickin' with the program!

Awesome!!Awesome!! It is great when you find The WAY for you!!

I just realized this is probably an NSV.

All through this journey I have tried to learn from how my body responds to different foods and different situations. I guess, for the first time in a long life, JUDDD and this forum taught me to treat my body not as a handy vessel I happen to sail around in, but as a very complicated tool with which I am intimately and eternally bound...and for which I am completely and solely responsible.

So, I had out-patient surgery two weeks ago. As I started returning to earth from the anesthesia, the nurse began giving me post-op instructions...lots of post-op instructions.

I asked questions, made comments to DH about what particular instructions meant and how my body was going to react to this-and-that. Based on the nurse said I guessed what some of the instructions were going to be.

Suddenly, she stopped moving and just stared at me. In a long time, about a minute, she said, "OMG, I wish the rest of my patients were half as aware of themselves as you are. I always worry about their understanding and how they are going to heal. You, I am not worried about." And she wiped her eyes and stomped out of the room.

I everyone here. I this WOL.
Wow! That is huge! We all know how incredibly informed and chock full of knowledge you are, but to get that kind of affirmation from the nurse is downright awesome. Hope you are feeling yourself, or better, again!

This is more of a "ah-ha" moment for me...for 2 reasons!!!

1) I have NEVER maintained, much less NOT gained 5+ lbs. over major holidays...Halloween-(I love candy!), and Thanksgiving dinner/goodies free-for-all.

2) It has been nothing short of miraculous that I have been finished with hHCG for almost 3 weeks now, and I am maintaining beautifully. I struggle with this next phase of hHCG...the maintenance. I usually have a 2-3 lb. bounce-up, NO MATTER WHAT I CHOOSE TO EAT...even following the strict protocol. BTW...protocol strictly has a "correction day" in which you utilize if you are outside a 2 lb. window. My last dose weight(LDW) was 175.8...so my window is 177.8 Luckily, I have not been over that window at all, since I have been on JUDDD...this is HUGE!!!! Many, many people struggle with this...and with me it is very mentally exhausting...and right now...this has been a very stressful week...my kitty was put down...DH's work hasn't been stable for 5 weeks, early TOM, etc. This would have been one of those weeks in which I prolly would have gained a few lbs...BUT I didn't. I am sitting EXACTLY on my goal weight this morning...even though I had/have water retention issues right now. This is definitley because of:

JUDDD!!!!!!!!!!!

So, even though there was not a net loss for me...I am BLESSED!!!!

Hi

Yes...I am loving it too.

It just makes me wonder WHY so many people have not heard of this WOE. It really is a Godsend for many! I cannot even tell you what I have had for enjoyment(and comfort foods!) these past few weeks. Not a TON of it...but a bite or two...which would have sabotaged me big-time, and really helped save my sanity

Also, I have several ladies at work who are on hHCG right now, and I have told them about JUDDD, and they are anxious to try it, too. Definitely, (for me anyway!), is a great WOE/maintenance plan AFTER hHCG. I do NOT ever feel deprived...even on DD's...I've even been toying w/ lower calories on DD's.

I am excited to see how you do on this "potato adventure". I'm not a big fan of potatoes...unless it's homemade deep-fried french fries, or kettle-cooked BBQ chips...lol...so I don't think I am going to try it

Have a great weekend!!!

I love love love all the NSVs!

A couple to add:

I bought a scooter today. It's so cute, green with white stripes. I NEVER would have considered a scooter when I was so overweight! I don't have a motorcycle license, so I haven't been able to play with it yet, but will be getting one as soon as I can.

Secondly, as I was looking at riding gear, the sales person tried to hand me a size 10 jacket. I said, "Oh, there's no way that's going to fit!" So he got me a 14--too big. He got me a 12--a little roomy, but he said it needs to be more form fitting for safety. I left with an awesome size 10!! (As an aside, they threw in the helmet, gloves, and jacket -- about $500.00 worth of gear!)

Dear Biker Chic- that is one of the most fun NSV's ever! There is something I love so much about this because I guess the scooter and jacket represent adventure and trying something different and dare I say... daring. Weight loss can affect us in ways we never have dreamed.

I am thinking of all the great adventures you can have on that scooter and I am thrilled that you wear a size 10 jacket.

Photos please!

Matching JUDDD scooters! I'm in!

My NSV for today is that I'm doing Christmas decorating today, after deep cleaning yesterday, and I haven't had to take breaks (other than pottie and getting a drink). Last year it took daaaays and many many breaks to complete the job. I also climbed up on my ladder multiple times to hang things, and last year that was nearly impossible. I FEEL GREAT!
