I had half of a nsv this morning-I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring in over a year, due to weight gain, (I've never had it re-sized from our wedding, 10 years ago next week). I've been trying it on every morning since I started JUDDD and this morning I was able to get it on However, it was really tight and made my finger look like a sausage So I took it back off for now, but I'm really close to being able to wear it again-last week I couldn't' even get it over my knuckle!

Thinking of Cindy, I have 2 fruit-related NSV's today

1) I bought apples! 2 golden delicious, 2 cortland (like a macintosh but firmer), and 2 asian pears. This is the first time since 2003 that I've bought fruit to have in the house (and not use in a recipe to give away to someone).
I ate one of the asian pears right in the car in between errands!

2) today is an UD, and as I went around today, I passed Starbucks. Hmmm... I can have anything I want (i.e milk, skim, soy, sugar syrup, SF syrup)-- the world is my oyster! Maybe a decaf nonfat peppermint mocha latte?

Meh. I decided I'd rather have my pear, and a nice dinner later.

This is JUDDD-- I'm in control of my choices, and I don't feel deprived!

S.

I walked ran 5 miles today and yesterday on my treadmill. The two things that made this possible was JUDD and giving up grain. I don't think I have celiacs, but I do certainly have an intolerance for grains. I had unexplainable joint pains and chronic ear effusion issues which lead to a 6 month long ear infection this year.

JUDD gave me the energy, and grain free is allowing me to do so without pain!

Two NSVs this weekend.
Context: I'm just finishing a series of events over three days: a production of a play I wrote after which I had a Q&A thing with the audience and a food-and-drink party (on an UD), a gorgeously catered, nerve-wracking class reunion with friends I hadn't seen in 20 years (DD), and today my lovely man's birthday brunch at a great restaurant before more theatre.
The NSVs:
1. There is no longer ANY stress about o-my-god, how will I manage this. It was easy to eat on UDs, easy not to on my DD. Six or seven months into JUDDD (slow learner, here), I seem to be losing my fear of the world coming to an end if I let something delicious pass by me on a tray. Perhaps this is what normal people are like.
2. I looked and felt like a million bucks all weekend. I'm fifty, and before JUDDD, I thought the days of feeling like a million bucks were long gone.

I cannot begin to describe how grateful I feel for having muscled my way through the early weeks and months of JUDDD in order to arrive here. JUDDD is the key to a door I've been trying to walk through for a long, long time.

(I hope this helps our new friends take heart.)

You have accomplished a lot. I am now grain free again and know the feeling of getting the poison out. Looking forward to increased activity soon.

And I can't seem to manage to quote you properly but when you say
