^^^ true dat! Total courage to weigh when you did, but how cool to find minimal gain!

This is probably my last one before I go (40th bday vacay, down mexico way... )

So I'm trying on bathing suits from the *archive* as Carly calls it! , and:
1) I almost took a pic of myself in a 1-piece that I bought (old navy xxl) but never wore. I think I look cute! it's halter, so there's quite a bit of upper back showing.
By the time I'm ready to take that picture, the suit won't fit!

2) Threw out a halter tankini top that is WAY too big... used to be the only one that fit...

3) you should always take 1 pair of pants, right? I'm taking 1 pair of WHITE JEANS and they totally fit (non-stretchy, none at all). Might be my last time wearing them, who knows!?!
(of course, I'll need stretchy yoga pants for the trip home, hee hee...)

My NSV is a miracle....I have always been quiet, reserved, somewhat introverted, and for the past 16 years, a stay at home mom who gained way too much weight and was nearly a recluse. Before mom-hood and weight problems I was a medical professional with an exciting career. After gaining weight and losing all confidence in myself I could not face the world especially the workplace. I had dreams of going back to work when my daughter finished school, but thats all it was to me, a dream. I started JUDDD on sept 10th and everything in my life and health improved, including my self confidence. So....I decided to apply for a job as a cashier for Christmas help at Wal-Mart, was accepted, got a perm in my hair today and start work Tuesday. Cant get much more "out there" in the public than Wal-Mart, so I'm jumping in with both feet and thrilled to be a working girl again!!! Who knows, someday I may go back into medicine and saving lives, right now JUDDD is saving my life!
Thank you all for your encouragement, Ellen

This is still one of the best threads in this entire forum. I'm so happy for every one of these NSVs you all share with us here. So motivational, inspirational, exciting and touching. Love you all and love all the support here.
I'm not exaggerating at all when I say the JUDDD board has been the biggest reason behind me being able to finally stick to a woe that actually led me all the way to my weight loss goal for the first time ever. I only wish I had more time to respond to all the threads.

Well done Ellen - lovely to hear everyone's stories. I can completely relate to how you feel - I am definitely more open, confident and less introverted also! I think it is not only feeling less fat but also the hormonal impact of eating well (and LC mostly) for me!

I absolutely agree that the boards and all you lovely people who take the time to post often (unlike me!) have played a huge part in helping me to lose slowly and healthily for the first time in my life! I have been overweight since 2nd grade and on various diets since my teens!

Thank you!

OOOPS! Have to 'fess up

I tried on a hidden, long-in-storage pair of pants today, which made me re-measure hips and waist and I made a big mistake in my posted note. My waist did NOT lose two and a half inches as I stated...only half an inch...must have been wishful thinking or further evidence I need the cataract surgery. SIGH! But still, losing four and half inches during a month the scale did not show a loss is nothing to be shameful about...this is a great woe...

So, in order to make up for this lost month...I extended the date for my next goal by a month to make it more realistic...

So, it's still a NSV but just not as great as originally posted...

And so, today I went through the "archive" of my workout clothes now that it's starting to cool a bit and shorts won't cut it after this weekend...all the winter clothes from last year are now in the recycle bags and some of the stuff I haven't been able to wear in 15 years is moving to the fore...still scared to try the uniform, but that's coming in a bit.

I agree with all, this is a wonderful woe of that is helping us lose the weight, energize ourselves, and getting a better outlook on life. The support from all the JUDDD BUDDDs is the greatest incentive that leads us into new paths...thanks so much. I'm sure I wouldn't be this far along without your help...

I agree with you Mary & Nancy!! The people & the support is what keeps me coming back.

I have a NSV of my own today. Even tho we were out for our son to shop & enjoy his day. I tried on some smaller jeans & WOW! I bought 3 pair of size 8/10!! HUH?!??? I think sizes have really changed since the last time I wore them. When DH & I started dating over 27 years ago, I wore a size 3. I weighed 98lbs. But, I was severely anorexic, too. DH took me out to eat until he fattened me up.........then, he got married me & got me pregnant!! After 4 children, a hysterectomy & lousy blood lipids that put me on low carb........the weight has just piled on! JUDDD is helping me so much more than any way of eating I've ever done! It works for anyone who is debating whether to try it or not. Do it! You'll love it! I do.
