I'm in regular sizes (finally!), but could probably just go to a lower size in the pluses. I never really shopped at LB except for bras, so I never paid much attention to their jeans selection. I'm thinking Old Navy might be good too.

If you do wind up at LB, first go to their website and sign up, they should send you a coupon in email right away. You can also search the internet for coupons, there's lots of sites that link to active coupons for all sorts of online and real stores.

Omg, regular sizes.... exciting!

Thanks! Yeah, I've been in regular sizes for a few months now, and I still find myself gravitating toward the Women's section out of habit. I can't really reconcile my internal image with my new reality.

I am agonising over skinny jeans too. Partly because it is almost impossible to find any others, and because of the boot issue too.

But at my age I am really not sure that it is a good look. I wear leggings with long tops so I suppose it is a short step to skinnies. I don't like the low waistlines so many of them have either.

Dawn - I first read your post as "short biker shorts" instead of boots! I was like, wow, she is really confident!

I think you should give skinny jeans a try! Start with dark wash or black since they are always more flattering. Love skinnies and boots for fall! And who doesn't love wearing something called "skinny"!

Bwahahaha! Not even in my teens with gorgeous thighs would I have worn short biker shorts!

That's great! Now if only I could find longer blouses. I'm 5'9" but I have pretty much regular length legs. My torso is crazy long!

Regular sizes! Dawn, don't go to LB! Nothing against LB, but you'll have so much more choice in the regular sizes, and it's less expensive. I dream of the day when I can shop in the petite department. I'm 5'3 and petites really fit so much better. I can usually find plus size short length pants in black or jeans. period. And everything else has to be altered and/or is usually just a bit off proportionally. Also, I notice that being harder to fit, I can sometimes find something at JC Penney, but the clothes that look best are usually from Macys or Nordstroms ... and then I am limited by $$$$

Have so much fun shopping!!

I was looking yesterday for my snow pants to see if they still fit, I couldn't find them but what I did find were clothes I had packed away because they were too tight, that now fit perfectly, even a bit baggy. I had forgotten about many of them, and I think I have a box somewhere downstairs that I can go through too. Yay for new wardrobes that have been packed away! Great price.

Oh! Thank goodness you found the clothes stash before they became too small!!! (said the voice of experience)

Christina, do you have thrift stores near you? I carry a tape measure and find all kinds of designer clothing in thrifts. Who cares if it costs $10 to have a $4 pair of bebe slacks altered?

Wow, I've been catching up on your last few days' posts. What awesome NSV's!!

Cindy, have you tried jeggings? Mine are from Sainsbury's. They look like skinny jeans but are elasticated-waist-high, and very comfy.

I've been bouncing around the same three pounds all month - largely due to trips away and intermittent abandonment of the rotations. No problem.

However, yesterday, I pulled down my pants, then realised they weren't my jeggings but had a button and zip - which I hadn't undone!

Loo, loo, skip to the loo,
Here's to pants on the floor.
Loo, loo, skip to the loo,
The pants don't lie my darling!

Great NSV Flossy, at the risk of being repetitive..."The Pants Don't Lie."

Regular sizes are so strange after years in Extra sizes.

Lucky you Dakini finding all those clothes before you outgrew them. I was heartbroken last New Year's when my too tight formal wouldn't stay up.

I did buy some Skinny jeans today They were a UK size 12, I usually wear a 10, but those of you in the UK will know when I say 'New Look' jeans come up small.

Oh, Chris, how I know! I'm barely 5'2" (standing very straight with neck stretched a little.) Petites are even too long for me, but the fit is so much different! I almost, I said almost, enjoy shopping, in short spirts, now that I can fit in a 10 petite. When I get to goal I have 4 wardrobe boxes of size 4 and 2 petites. I won't even need to shop! But I may be so excited that I'll do one goal shopping trip.

My NSV yesterday...

I usually wear scrubs to work and on days off am out and about in workout clothes. But I had appts and errands to run for a good part of the day so it was time to get out something cute. It was warm out and I considered my capris/crops. Every year in the fall I am unable to wear them because of getting too thick from summer into fall, I run out of clothes really every fall into winter, then get mad at myself and lose weight come the first of the year and the cycle repeats itself every year.

Wellllll....... My crop pants fit, even were a bit loose and oh-so-comfy!! I felt soooo good being out and about and confidence level was up. I have been less than perfect on rotations, even eating a bit more lately, being in some kind of hibernation mode it seems. So this is quite the accomplishment! It truly is JUDDD magic!!

How is it that our pants are the first place we really notice our losses?? I usually just wear jeans & tshirt because I rarely go anywhere except to the grocery store. Small town, nobody cares.
Anyway, I've been wearing my size 14 jeans & I didn't realize until yesterday that they are WAY too big. So, this morning I put on a pair of my size 12's & THEY are loose!! Holy Cow!! I've lost almost 2 pounds since my last update!

I really love JUDDD. Now, I gotta get some size 10's............*shaking my head in disbelief!" I didn't save any of those.....thought I'd never need them again.

Shari

Happy Dance for everyone!

JUDDD takes so much of our time! We have to remember to try on 'someday this will fit' clothes frequently ... or risk never getting to wear them because we slid right by them!

Nice one TJ

Bravely bought skinny jeans.

Tried them on in store and asked sweet young gay guy in charge of the fitting room if I could get away with them. He looked long and hard, then said, "You're rocking them!"
