My NSV today is that I'm noticing my arms and legs look smoother, not so lumpy bumpy under my skin. My back fat is going down, and my upper arms round out to the side way less than before!

I still have a long way to go, but just seeing these changes gives me a glimpse of what I have to look forward to.

SIZE 12 SLACKS...and they fit!!!! still a little tight across the hips but it won't be long until they will be too big...I have faith. It's taking a little longer as I was hoping to be a few pounds less but I figure my weight is just giving the body time to adjust to its lower value...

I have one this morning. I'm headed to a tv shoot for the day. I'm a bit nervous, which is nothing unusual.
But I can't tell you how grateful I am to not feel the kind of despair I used to feel about my body being chunkier than it was for the audition, or too chunky for the clothes they'll have for me, or too chunky for the auditions later this week.

Really, the despair was about not having the ability to control my food intake or weight. That was a lousy place.

I feel such sad compassion, looking back on that. I think I have climbed my way out of that through JUDDDing. And it's not like I get it right every day or every week. But I know now that every single slide is temporary and reversible. I've proven it to myself about a hundred times over the last six happy months.

Nervous, I can handle, but man-oh-man, it is sweet to watch this particular despair get smaller and dimmer until it disappears completely in my rear-view mirror.

Love, love, love this WOE.

SHOCKED!

I usually have breakfast at 7am, a healthy snack around 9:30am and lunch at 12 (something I got used to while doing SB).
Today I had breakfast, completely forgot about my snack and when I looked at the clock I was shocked to see it was lunch time and I wasn't hungry!
I completely forgot about food on my UD!

Mary, Kristen, LCG- great NSVs!

Mine was yesterday. Went to Macy's to buy a few outfits for work since all my 2x fall/ winter clothes are huge. Walked around the ladies section got an arm load of XLs and proceeded to the fitting room. The shirts were like dresses the slacks like clown pants. Went back and got all Ls, nope, way too big. I ended up buying a bunch of Medium tops, 1 petite large top, 2 petite medium pants, 1 petite medium skirt and shock of all shocks a brown pair of legging that are a size small! I know this must be vanity sizing to the extreme, but I just can't believe how much less there is of me!

WOOOHOOO Carly!!!! (keep shopping at Macy's my DD works for them)

I love all the NSVs for shopping in your closet...I actually pulled out a top yesterday that I had never worn (bought it...it was too tight) and I won't be wearing it long as it was a little baggy.
Love it!

Speaking of sizes...I HATE that I have to try everything on...the sizing is so radically different for all the different brands.
Right now I am wearing anywhere from a 2X to a Large in tops and 18WP to a 16 in pants.

Kristin - what a lovely NSV this morning. Life changing. Good luck today on your TV gig!

Pat - forgetting to eat, that's a big one! Food isn't #1 anymore.

Carly - WOW! You've melted away! Funny how we keep thinking we're bigger than we are as we lose. I guess we have a body image in our head that takes longer to adjust than our actual bodies. Congrats!

Linda - missed a size, huh? Doesn't that make you mad? And doesn't it make you SMILE?

What awesome NSVs!!!!

Kristin, especially in your industry, I can imagine your huge relief today!

Carly-- if there's anything you'd want to send me from the 2x you need to get rid of I'd happily pay for shipping. I'm still an 18/20 in most good quality clothes, 1x if it's stretchy.
PM me if you think of something

Barb (Cactusroses) posted this today and I had a feeling some here may have improved their numbers.

Anyone lower cholesterol with JUDDD?
My hubby's cholesterol is high but he is not really ready to consider JUDDD because he is close to his ideal weight. I will need further information and "evidence" that JUDDD works to lower cholesterol even if weight is not an issue. We have already talked about the anti-inflammatory response a bit and how IF/JUDDD helps arthritis, asthma, etc and he seems intrigued.

Have any of you known someone who is doing JUDDD and already very close to ideal weight? I know for a fact my hubby will not do strictly LC, so I am looking for those who lowered their cholesterol with traditional JUDDD.

I have found some other threads to become a bit more educated in the world of total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides, ratios etc.

Thanks in advance for all the great info I know you knowledgeable ladies will offer.

Carly - Isn't shopping FUN when you can grab smaller sizes. I think my eyes would pop out of my head if I ever fit into size small anything. People must have thought you were crazy grabbing all of the XLs when you really needed mediums! How exciting!

Pat - That is a great NSV! I don't have the "I forgot about food" on an UD very often (or at all) so congrats!

Mssarge - Congrats on the size 12s!

Pulled out a pair of beige capris I haven't worn in ages because although I *could* cram myself into them, it wasn't pretty.. Wore them comfortably. Looked cute. Felt awesome.

I remember from LAST low carb weight loss journey that the lbs below 150 or so realllllllllly show. Like - I can see a difference in the 10-15 lbs I've lost already, and I can wear clothes I couldn't wear before, but I've noticed a much bigger difference from 155 than I did from 160 to 155.. and once I get below 150, each pound makes a huge difference size and body-wise. That's when it gets really fun, and I'm so excited to be getting back into the zone again!!

Yesterday, a DD, felt Oh So Good all day. The energy was incredible and as I am a naturally (or so I thought) slow moving gal, was all the more surprised by this change. Maybe it is a first sign of the sirtuin load. Whatever the reason, I hope to see more of it. Eating a bite every hour was a good experiment and I will be doing it again tomorrow. Almost don't want to eat today, but I will force myself.

After about 6 weeks of JUDDD (low carb style), I have pretty modest scale decreases. But my NSV's have made me most happy this week...

1. I've now come to accept that I need to sew some tucks in my work slacks, and I need to wear a belt on my jeans...
2. I have been binge-free for the last 4 weeks...
3. I truly have embraced the journey itself at this point more than the weight loss goal. I've come to realize it's more important to me to be in control of my eating than seeing a number on the scale...

I know the weight and inches will come off--not dramatically, but steadily. I'm ok with conducting a few experiments and tweaks from time to time, but the very essence of what JUDDD works for me is the simplicity.

Loving JUDDD, and loving all the wonderful inspiration, support and info this message board provides...

Here's mine-

Some of you can probably relate to the pain and humiliation that comes with being so big you don't fit into things. Public things like theater seats, rides at Disneyland, airplane seats, etc. It is a pain I can't describe. A feeling of such extraordinary dread and inadequacy. Years ago, over a hundred pounds heavier, I felt the horror of stuffing myself into the middle seat of an airplane- economy class. I couldn't get the seat belt around me, and I overflowed the seat to the two passengers on either side of me who were not happy. I couldn't even put the table in front of me down on my large thighs. I flew like that for 5 hours, trying as hard as I could to cross my arms and squeeze myself to be as small as I could. I was in pain for a few days when I got out of the plane from being so tense and trying so hard not to invade the space of others. I was in tears thinking of how I had to go through the same on the return flight home.
That-- was when I stopped flying for many years. How sad is that? Really, it is so sad to not be able to see family and friends because I was too big. I could sob now just thinking of it. I missed out on so much.

I just flew back to see my family and although I am still not anywhere near goal, I fit into the seat and I didn't have to worry about other people giving me that disgusted you-are-so-fat- I-hope-you-are-not-sitting-next-to-me look. It is a look that no one wants directed their way, trust me.

I felt the freedom and joy that normal people feel. I flew home to see my family and truly appreciated feeling like everyone else. It is a joy too overwhelming for words. That is one of the biggest NSV's I will ever have.
Wonderful to read this, Beverly!! What an awesome NSV - so happy for you my bud!
