I have arthritis in my right index finger (result of an injury decades ago). Pre-JUDDD the pain got so bad, especially when seasons changed, that I had trouble using the hand. After a few months on JUDDD the pain went away. I am really looking forward to seeing if this is continues to be true when cold, wet weather arrives.

Chuckle, I use that finger to keep track of "do I have JUDDD Magic activated". If I eat too little or too much stop generating SIRTs for a few weeks, the pain returns to remind me to look at my eating because I am doing something wrong.

NORFOLK MERMAID posted this in the Newbie thread and she has allowed me to share it with you. Another great NSV.

THE GREEN SHORTS FIT (ZIP & VELOR WAIST CLOSES)

I had put them aside when I began and they wouldn't go over my hips to my waist and now I am sitting here in them.

I cannot stay- poison ivy on my right hand is not even responding to Rx. numbing cream. It is litterally killing me! It has been over a week and I guess it is really a waiting game (2 more weeks I guess) I am going now to slather on more of that Rx. cream and put on a white glove (have tons of them- cotton from my Hand Bell days) and hoping I can continue to prevent it spreading.

Oh, man, when the pants fit.
When the underwear fits, especially the sexy underwear.
When the zippers zip, when the thighs have breathing room, when my a&& doesn't feel as though a couple of socks have gotten lost inside my pants, when I feel comfortable wearing a t-shirt over jeans, when everything in my closet is wearable today.
Love. JUDDD.

I love this thread. Congrats to everyone!!

Here's mine-

Some of you can probably relate to the pain and humiliation that comes with being so big you don't fit into things. Public things like theater seats, rides at Disneyland, airplane seats, etc. It is a pain I can't describe. A feeling of such extraordinary dread and inadequacy. Years ago, over a hundred pounds heavier, I felt the horror of stuffing myself into the middle seat of an airplane- economy class. I couldn't get the seat belt around me, and I overflowed the seat to the two passengers on either side of me who were not happy. I couldn't even put the table in front of me down on my large thighs. I flew like that for 5 hours, trying as hard as I could to cross my arms and squeeze myself to be as small as I could. I was in pain for a few days when I got out of the plane from being so tense and trying so hard not to invade the space of others. I was in tears thinking of how I had to go through the same on the return flight home.
That-- was when I stopped flying for many years. How sad is that? Really, it is so sad to not be able to see family and friends because I was too big. I could sob now just thinking of it. I missed out on so much.

I just flew back to see my family and although I am still not anywhere near goal, I fit into the seat and I didn't have to worry about other people giving me that disgusted you-are-so-fat- I-hope-you-are-not-sitting-next-to-me look. It is a look that no one wants directed their way, trust me.

I felt the freedom and joy that normal people feel. I flew home to see my family and truly appreciated feeling like everyone else. It is a joy too overwhelming for words. That is one of the biggest NSV's I will ever have.

I can totally relate Beverly, and I'm so happy for you!

DH and I have endured the stares on several flights. Add to the fact that we're both tall, and flights can be really uncomfortable. I can't wait until we can both board a flight and have no fear of what others are thinking!

Beverly - you put that so eloquently. Yes, I still worry about it. I've lost enough now that I fit into most seats, but airline seats and belt are still a worry. Especially now that some airlines have taken the position that you may have to buy an extra seat or not fly!

I'm so happy for you!

I have a NSV from this morning...

When I was getting dressed, I noticed in my (huge 70's) sliding door closet mirror that I appear to have less visible cellulite in my butt and back of my legs. I thought I was mistaken, but looked in different lights in another room and it was for real!!! Funny, because I have been maintaining my weight for a couple of months now, and clothes are just a tad looser. Well I never thought I would see the day....

Beverley, that is such a triumph. You need never suffer that pain and embarrassment ever, ever again and..you only diet half the time. Your post made me want to cry and smile at the same time.

Barb, who ever knew that cellulite could be a victim to JUDDD magic. Nice.

My goodness-- I haven't been online for a week and LOOK at you guys!

Bev! I am SOOOOOO happy and proud of you!

AlC-- knickers! WTG!

for everyone, this is the best thread!

I have to add Was in CA last week, and took my 30% coupon to Lane Bryant (plus-sized clothes in the USA)--

wouldn't you know, but even with all the travel and plenty of days that have gone a bit awry--

size 14 (stretchy) tops
size 18 (!) stretchy black SKINNY jeans (let's revisit that they are very stretchy).
size 8 tall BOOTS! (wide calf)

The thing with the tops and the jeans-- had I gone for the larger size, they would've been baggy. Clearly.

I was just tickled, I have to tell you. JUDDD magic is moving "stuff" around even if I'm sort of stuck on a particular scale number.

Oh-- and I think I've convinced DH to try Juddd in October-- will post on that separately

S.

Yesterday was my first down day... Although, yeah, the scale went down 2.5 lbs, my NSV this morning was putting on my uniform shirt, and it being so loose, that I wondered if it was even mine , or maybe one of my older bigger ones that still hang out in the bottom of my closet, but nope, it was my regular shirt. What a difference a good start can make!

Bye bye bad diet bloat!

WTG LadyB! Love that feeling!!! Soon you'll have to ditch ALL those shirts and get new ones!

(I left my work pants in CA, b/c they were too big, and my bag was already overweight with my new smaller clothes).
