Elise, that is so funny.
I love that experience, time wasting though it may have been.$10 eh? Last of the big spenders, that's you Dawn. My NSV is having a DD that just flew by, no hunger, loads of energy and my food, eaten at 9 pm, was a small portion of DH's spaghetti with pesto. This is a diet. ![]() |

Nice NSV Cindy!
BTW, I forgot to mention, the two pairs of pants I got both still had their original tags on. They were new! I like to think a fellow JUDDDer purchased them, but then lost weight so quickly she never got a chance to wear them! ![]() |

Elise....I want you to "hold your head HIGH!!"...cause you deserve it!
Dawn, that was def $10 well spent!! You always amaze me!! Carly, that re-shaping is as thrilling as seeing the scale drop to me! ![]() Cindy, I've been having those kind of DDs lately too. What gives? Mine have always been managable, but, lately it's like I don't "feel" them at all, and like you said, they just fly by! Hope it continues! Weird! ![]() Love you all! ![]() Phyl |

Cindy and Phyl- don't you just love those DDs that zip by while you were being super productive and not at all hungry?!?
Dawn- we don't have thrift shops like those around here. Great prices for things with the tags still on!!! How I wish. I worry about thrift stores since here in NY there has been a big issue with bed bugs ![]() ![]() ![]() |

My newest NSV:
Yesterday I had to 'drink only clear liquids' in prep for some medical testing. I made sure yesterday was DD. These days I understand hunger and frequently only ingest liquids until dinner time anyway. Dinner was, I admit, larger than I usually eat: four liters of yuck cannot replace half a can of soup with added veggies for flavor and enjoyment. Today is UD. Unlike five years ago when I went through this routine, I don't need to eat the house down today. I don't have a subconscious suspicion I need to eat yesterday's missed food. Today is a perfectly normal UD except I am a bit from the tests. NSV: DD/UD have taken me smoothly through what used to be a distressing time of strange eating.

![]() I know exactly what you mean about fasting for medical tests not being the big deal it used to be. I compare how I was before, with testing on JUDDD/IF, and it's really not a big deal anymore ![]() |

This fasting for medical stuff made me just AH-HA a new NSV
In years past, I wouldn't fast on Yom Kippur-- it's the Jewish day of atonement, and you fast from sunset the night before (having had a lovely meal) to sunset the day of, and you usually break the fast at a gathering with friends and family, on breakfast-y type foods (fish, bagels, egg salad, etc). Or, at my grandfather's, pizza. But I digress... I've not done it in AGES b/c I thought I'd trigger a migraine (and also, I'm lazy... strike that... I don't sin! )Anyway-- this year, I have to work on Yom Kippur (big no-no), and this is on my upcoming trip to CA. I planned my week so that I'd be fasting on the day! I realized that I can do it, that I do it basically every other day now So-- I better get to sinning, since I'm going to totally make up for it next Wednesday cya!S. |

Sorren I will be fasting too and I'm not dreading it nearly as much as I used to, now the not drinking at all is what usually kills me.

I have a new NSV that I just noticed yesterday. I was going to wear a size 8 pants outfit that has been hanging in my closet for several years with the tags still on. No problem there. But shoes. I have been wearing my "supportive" leather laceups in black, brown or white forever since I haven't been wearing many dresses so I went digging through my shoe collection looking for a pair that would work. I found a pair of deep red loafers that I have not worn in forever since they are too tight across the top of my foot and since I have had foot surgery there, I don't like anything binding. I sat down ready to force my foot into those loafers in the name of fashion. No worries. Slipped right on and I wore tham all day yesterday (they have good arch supports) and no foot pain and I looked good with matching shoes for a change.
Since that worked so well I started trying on other shoes that have been too snug. Oh boy. I have lots of shoe options now. Yea for weightloss all over. (except my waist which isn't budging. YET)

I've been using my DDs to clean, organize, purge, all closets and cupboards. Also got out my art supplies and have done a few pieces. Also, increased my quiet time as well as incidental exercise. In other words, taking the focus off food has given me lots of time for other things.

Since I did not lose any weight this week, have had to look at other benefits. Have I mentioned yet that the long lost "OFF" button has been reactivated. Today, 1/2 blueberry muffin. Am able to eat 1 serving of almost anything now and put the rest away for another day. This is huge for me.
I used to be a person with no off button when it came to certain foods. One bite lead to a binge. Even when full, I could not stop. Big miracle is the pasta, chips and bread items that are in the cupboard and being used ONE serving at a time. If I get nothing else from this WOE, this one thing is worth it. |

Wonderful NSVs, as ever!
I went shopping yesterday for some jeans that I can wear tucked into my boots (I love fall). Guess who's wearing size 10 skinny jeans? Are they stretch? Yes. Do I care? No! |

Hi all - thanks for all the great NSVs, they really inspire me! I am losing slowly because I am not following cals strictly.
My NSV is that I have loads of size 18 and size 20 clothes (US) that actually fit me. Quite a lot are from an over ambitious shopping trip to the US about 5 years ago when I bought stuff on sale that was too small. I have loads of clothes now and some are almost too big! Dee |

Dee....quite a few stories here where different ones didn't "shop their closet" soon enough and skipped right over sizes, and didn't get to wear some of their smaller things!!
![]() Hurry and wear your smaller clothes and then in no time you will be tossing them! You may need to come clothes shopping again!! Keep rockin the plan! ![]() Phyl ![]() |

Oh Dee, that is wonderful!
Almost 20 years ago I found and fell in love with a handmade jacket I found in a thrift store. This Autumn, for the first time, I get to wear it! |
