My NSV this week doesn't have much to do with me, but I'm so excited about it I thought I'd post here! I just found out that I have my THIRD convert to JUDDD. I started in April, my husband started one month after me (and is thrilled with his results) and now my brother-in-law and sister have started! I'm the one that has the most to lose out at all of them so they better not pass me.

It's the most sincere form of flattery, no? That is so awesome when someone sees your great results and it motivates them to get healthy too. Very cool!!

That is fantastic Jade! It is wonderful when people see that something is working and join in.
I have a NSV today. I just gathered up all of my old diet books and donated them to Goodwill! Wow do I have a lot of open shelf space now! I feel like maybe I should have put little stickys in the front pages of the books suggesting JUDDD if the diet didn't work for them...

That's great! When you find what works, there is no need to look back!

DH is JUDDDing, and his boss has started as well. When I got my hair done on Saturday, my hairdresser asked what I was doing (and chastised me for wearing baggy clothes--told me next time I came in I need to wear something form-fitting to flatter my new slender figure! )

Anyway, I gave her the information and she's going to look into it too. Her sister does Atkins and has done very well but she doesn't want to give up carbs.

There is nothing that is better than the compliment of someone wanting to emulate your success! Awesome! I find hairdressers to be the best source for compliments these days. And yes, Dawn, time to get some skinny jeans!!

That's awesome that your hairdresser noticed your new slim figure! I haven't purchased many new clothes yet and am still wearing a lot of baggy stuff too. I tell my husband that they are really comfortable. He says I look ridiculous.

This is an amazing thread, and I've been ignoring it until this past weekend. I've now read ALL the posts and I'm so motivated by you guys! You all have such amazing stories, and accomplishments, and the support is AMAZING! I'm in awe. And I'm in!

I can't wait to have some NSV's to report. Right now, I'm just feeling great, and so hopeful that the weight will continue to melt off. I'm on DD #4, had one cup (a big one!) of coffee w/HWC this morning, one cup (again big!) of chicken broth for lunch, and am not hungry at all!?!?! Dinner will be tilapia and cabbage, and very satisfying.

I'm SO looking forward to moving through sizes with you guys! Right now, all I wear are 3X (elastic waist) pants and tops, but I'm swimming in them. I've gotta go buy me some new stuff! I have a size 24 pair of jeans - I mean real jeans with a zipper and button and pockets and everything. Those are my next stop, and I think they'll fit in a few weeks, but after reading all you guys missing sizes, I'm going to keep trying them on once a week to be sure.

I'm so glad I stopped here and started reading. I see why it's a favorite thread to a lot of you. You'll find me here from now on!

I started in 3X and size 26 and the first clothes I bought were size 20. By then I looked like a bag lady! I pretty much skipped 16s completely. I'm now comfortable in 14s and thinking about "trying" a pair of size 12 jeans, just to see if I can get them up. Your local thrift store may just become your best resource.

I have my favorite NSV to date! I can wear almost every size 7 shoe I have and that's no small amount. I had gotten so fat I had to buy size 8 and they weren't even comfy. I love my shoes and I can wear almost all of them!

Oh do I know what you mean!! I had no idea feet got fat! I went to size 8 too and all of a sudden, I was walking out of them and realized I need to go down a size. At least you have a closet full of ones that fit you. Very exciting!! Hail to skinny feet!!

Do I ever have a closet full. Not to mention bins full in my storage room. I have boxes and bins full of every size from a 3x all the way to 2 petite. I've mostly been shopping in my own closet. I have missed a few thing that I just whooshed by.
I can't even express my level of mortification when I got to fat for my own shoes! Well at least most are still in style

That reminds me of a NSV - my favorite pair of red and black leather boots now fit my calves again. I bet I could even tuck in skinny jeans to them if I was willing to be seen in skinny jeans LOL!

That is fantastic that you get to wear your smaller shoes again! My feet went from a sIze 8 1/2 to a size 10! I am slimmer again but now I have slim size 10 feet. The only up side is that I can get some nice shoes on clearance sometimes. Slimmer calves is nice!
This thread is my favorite too Locarbgal! Reading everyones NSV's helps me to keep my perspective on what this is all about. Feeling better, healthier, and fitting comfortably in my clothes!

MY NSV does not involve clothing. I make soap and have a curing rack that I am slowing filling for the fall season. I have not used the bottom shelf for several years because it involves squatting down to fill. I now have that shelf half full and have no problems getting down and back up again with a log of soap. I can squat. Now how thrilling is that? Not much to most people but I haven't been able to do that for a long while. AND I can get back up with little effort and no help from hanging onto something. Getting healthy with JUDDD.

Aid, I totally get that as a great NSV

I'm also loving the "little things" like being able to rest my chin on my knees when I'm sitting in my computer chair, or being comfortable sitting with my legs crossed or kneeling. Gives me so much joy to be able to move my body around again with no "oofing" or struggling...

Thanks for sharing

I love this thread.

I am away again and only brought a few bits of clothing as I can wash stuff at my sister's home.

Shouldn't have brought my size 2 NYDJ, they are falling down.... Vanity sizing at its silliest, but I have owned them for donkeys years. Thought they'd be just right, wrong!

Adillenal, are you on the SoapDish too?

Oops, got excited, teehee! My victory with JUDDD has been a steady loss after hitting a brief stall on Atkins. I've struggled with my weight since I started menses, this is the first time in my life of fifty years that I've felt in control of my weight. It's exhilarating!!
