I wore my "new" jeans (almost 2 months old now) yesterday and realized I am forgetting how to use buttons. I didn't need to unbutton them at all yesterday.
Today I'm wearing my dress slacks and they look like clown pants. You won't hear me complaining!!! |

Well, I haven't tried anything on in ages so all this talk about jeans got me to wondering. When I gained a bunch of weight back I quit weighing and had no idea how big I had gotten. I knew my jeans were too small so I went to the store and bought one size larger. Got home and could not even pull them up. Oh dear. Kept those jeans because I was humiliated that I could not wear them and the next time I went to the store I got the next size up. No go again so I ended up with 16's. I have been wearing my baggy 16's, so I got the 14's and 12's out and I can also wear them. Found a pair of denim pull ons in my closet (yeah what was I thinking) in a size 10 and they are almost too big. (Obviously they run LARGE) I better start wearing clothes that fit or I will miss being able to wear them on my downward spiral.

![]() ![]() Adillenal ![]() I bought two new, spring/summer weight suits last Autumn. A cold snap hit so I stored them away without having an opportunity to wear them. Does anyone not see where this is going? Someone at the thrift store is going to enjoy two new-with-tags size 14s. ![]() |

So...today was an UD. Past days when I had eaten as much food as I ate today, I would avoid the mirror because I FELT fat--icky, bloated, FAT, ya know? Well, i was just standing in front of the mirror taking my makeup off, and thought to myself, "Damn, girl! You look good! You look...SKINNY!" I don't care what size I am wearing, I always look the same in the mirror to myself. Today was...different.

Wow Shelby - what a wonderful experience.
I think the anti-inflammatory effects of DD do sneak over to UD more and more over time. These days, I have started recording what UD foods leave me looking and feeling bloated. 'Cause now that I can tell the difference, I really enjoy not being bloated! Golly, and to think I used to live that way! |

Lovely victories here. Brilliant work all of you.
So sad to think of those good suits going to charity! Shelby I too seem to see myself the same size in the mirror. Even now, at my slimmest for years I don't seem much smaller. I like the way my body feels though. Definitely like to find ribs when I touch myself, and that flatter stomach. But I don't see it. |

Mine for today is that I recently discovered I can go down the stairs without holding on! I have osteoarthritis in my left knee and a few months ago I had to go down one step at a time, always leading with my left foot because my knee couldn't take the stress of bending to go down the step. Now I go down without holding on to the railing, one foot for each step, no stress, no strain! Since I live in a loft at the top of 47 stairs, this is a big one! The other day I took the trash out just because it needed taking out, I usually combine taking the trash out with some other trip because those stairs were so daunting. Now I can go up the stairs, down the stairs, no problem. I feel younger. I'm so thrilled I found JUDDD! Thanks to all of you for being here.

Congrats!!! I always find your NSV posts so inspirational as I think I have some similar issues. I was so thrilled when I could climb the steps with one foot on each step instead of two feet per step. I am so happy for you. With 47 steps to deal with, you must be in hog heaven!! I am just thrilled for you. Keep these reports coming. They keep me goig!!![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() Reminds me that the other day I had to light the pilot light on my gas log fire place. I have to get down on the floor to do this, which of course means I will have to get back up again. ![]() It occurred to me that I used to make sure and take a dust rag with me so I could clean up the dust on the slate floor and fireplace surround. You know that old saying about "What else can I do while I'm down here. "Well, the effort it took to get back up off the floor @ 230 pounds is long gone! I just pop right back up!!! ![]() ![]() I feel so light!

I LOVE these NSVs!
Adding mine, as suggested by SunGoddess So, there's this pair of size 12 jeans that have been in my closet a long time. Since starting JUDDD I've been trying them on about once a week. The first time I don't think I could even button them, then I could squeeze into them, then a bit easier, a bit easier. You know what's coming... I hadn't thought to try them on for a couple of weeks, but today...I WORE THEM TO WORK. THEY WERE COMFY. |

![]() Yeah, I was pretty low-energy on LC, so the change to complex carbs and a more plant-based diet (though I still love me some meat ) has been like manna from Heaven! I've been at or close to goal for a long time (September) and started JUDDD in Feb. to see if maintenance would be easier. I'm finally seeing that yes, it is easier to maintain with this WOE. The scale doesn't swing so far and it comes back faster and easier. Though I am still not eating maintenance calories on DDs...but I'll get there.
So while the scale hasn't really moved I thought my clothes were fitting differently and today confirmed it. I went shopping with dh. I had on my 'skinny' jeans and dh commented that I looked nice but why wasn't I wearing my skinny jeans! He said they were baggy. LOL And then he took me clothes shopping and everything I bought was a size smaller than usual. I gotta take him shopping more often, bought way more than I would have if I'd gone alone. |
