Tina - The HB's were actually OK. They had a choice of whole wheat buns which I took and I think that made all of the difference plus I was second in line. They let our custodian go first since she was celebtrating her 86th birthday and we went with her so I ate the burger and a bag of chips and was happy. Skipped the cake since it looked dry and I wasn't wasting calories on that item. Had a good UD and last day of school although I work 12 months so I am not home for the summer.

![]() That is a HUGE victory! That kind of stuff would put me in a bad, mad-at-myself mood for the rest of the day. YAY for you! ![]() I also use Valerian occasionally when I'm having trouble sleeping and it helps me. Hope you can get some good rest soon. Quote:

I bought trousers last week from a place that I've never bothered going in because I knew they NEVER had stuff that I would fit in. But I was so desperate for new trousers, I thought I'd give it a try and lo and behold, found two different pairs that fit perfectly! I was so pleased! Just a little thing, but it made me feel good!

Let me tell you Mrs Smith, that is huge NSV. To feel comfortable shopping in a place one felt was 'impossible' is part of the magic of JUDDD.

JUDDD is going to cost me some more money. I have a collection of swimsuits since we have a backyard pool. I am very late this year getting the pool ready so did not realize my suits are too big. Yesterday I had one on to vacuum the pool and it got so baggy when it got wet that I am glad no one was here but DH. Pitiful. I found two more that are a size smaller and they fit dry but also stretch out a tad too much when wet. Oh the trials and tribulations of JUDDDing. A shopping I must go.

Adi--it's tough, but it must be done. LOL Enjoy!
MrsSmith--Congrats! I'd say that's a great victory. JUDDD may be costing me more money soon too. I got dressed for church, and felt my blouse was a bit big, which my dd confirmed. My skirt was also a bit loose in the waist, but would have worked since my blouse covered it. So I needed to change. Put on a dress I haven't been able to wear since before I had children (and my oldest is 19) and it looked better on me now than it did then! But the blouse I'm a bit sad about. It was a thrift store find at least, from back in April, and I've only worn it one other time. I loved the color (lime green). Many of my pants/capris I bought back in March/April are getting loose in the waist as well, especially by the end of the day.

These are such exciting posts, sooooo looking forward to baggy items, it's been a long time since things fit big, hooray for you all!
Tina, I just love thrift store shopping, especially in the summer for some reason. You'll just have to get back out there and find more treasures!! |

Just realized I have one...my capris that I wear this time of year don't stay up anymore unless I wear a stretchy belt. They fit other than the waist!

Well, I'm not sure if this is a "victory" or not. Today, after an UP day, I didn't gain the same 2# back that I promptly lose every DOWN day. First time that hasn't happened in 6 weeks. So I'm choosing to take this as a "sign from the Gods" that perhaps the scale is going to drop a little this week? A girl can HOPE, can't she? LOL

Capris are good! Hope is good!
I had my first three seconds of not knowing whether today was an UD or a DD when my lovely man asked while we were walking Rosie this morning. |

DMIL dropped off a bag of clothes yesterday and I put them all in the armoire without thinking TOO much about them since they are all size 14 pants and XL blouses. She has lost a lot of weight and thought these would fit me. I just bought new 16W pants, so I was sure none of them would fit.
Tonight, I tried on some pants. I was able to button and zip them! They were not comfortable, nor would I wear them in public without a nice bulky sweater, but I could get them buttoned AND zipped!! ![]() Even better? MIL is 5'8", so all the pants are in LONG! I haven't tried any blouses yet, but may get around to it tomorrow or on the weekend.

Fantastic, Dawn! It's great to zip up smaller pants, isn't it? I actually never measure myself in inches, but I have used jeans as an indicator of my shrinking waistline. I go thru stages like - "I can actually get these over my hips!" to "I can zip these up while I suck in my gut!" to "I could actually wear these in public (with a long top over them)!" to "They actually fit! No muffin top!" to "Hey, are these getting loose?!" to "I can get these on and off without unbuttoning them!" to "Wow... time to shop for some new jeans!"
Seriously, great job, Dawn! Ok... I think I've unveiled a new non-scale victory. I'm just realizing I'm in a wonderful new mental state! I am in the process of gradually shifting from low-carb to moderate-carb while in maintenance. I remember back when I was on Atkins a few years ago and I was so hesitant to try things like sugarfree chocolate and low carb tortillas... and I can see that sentiment all the time in reading low carb forums. I'm totally not there any longer! I had no guilt whatsoever over eating some Chocolite candies I found marked down at the store. I've had zero hesitance over consuming high fiber pitas I found at another grocery store. I've been baking with various non-white flours... coconut, almond, etc. with no restrictions in my mind on how much of these foods I can eat (other than calorie-wise). I may hesitate over full-size portions of white flour and sugar products, but I feel freedom to try these things - small portions, tastes, samples in the store, etc. I had that small victory the other day where I didn't feel like I sabotaged myself when eating a couple of cheese doodles. I realize that my victory now is really so much bigger! Can you believe I actually used to hesitate about eating too many vegetables because of the carbs? I have come such a a long way mentally! It's truly refreshing. Thanks for the support here, JUDDD-ers! |

Sorry haven't been around much!
Well done everyone! 2 great NSV!! The other night DH said - when we were in the coffee shop - I looked over to the counter where you were buying the coffee and I had to look 2 x because I didn't recognise you from behind!! Yesterday, I went into my favourite clothes shop - favourite clothes - but I've never been able to buy anything from there! There was a gorgeous top - and they do go up to an 18/20 - but the sales were on - and there was a 14 or 16 left. I mentioned this was so sad to the sales assistant - she looked at me - and said = of course it will fit you! I tried it on - and it did!!!!!! The neckline was wrong - but otherwise - yes! I tried on a skirt and top in a 14 - they fit - and I didn't like them. I bought a lovely top in a 16!! The assistant also commented that I had really narrow hips!!!! So although the scales are not being kind (in part due to too many UD!) the body shape is getting better!!!!
