I am basking in my lack of appetite. It is great to just manage my food intake per plan and not be so insane about cravings and compulsions and never feeling full. * happy sigh *

Tomorrow is scale day and I know that is NOT an NSV but my jeans tell me that maybemaybemaybe I will see a little scale victory too hehehhe ( I'm bad )

I had a NSV yesterday.

I'd popped in to TJMaxx to look for some shorts for my DH and happened to see a display of women's bathing suits. The past few years I would've quickly! walked by the display and not even considered stopping to look at them because how ridiculous was it for me to even consider getting one? (very)

There I stood, flipping through the hangers, holding them up to get a better look. And when I was finished with that rack, I went looking around to see if they had any more! They didn't and I was pretty disappointed everything was so picked over. Everything they had left looked too "old lady".

My head has been liberated! I've turned the corner! I'm no longer 'seeing' myself as some fat old bat who can only fit into dumpy looking stuff. I've got quite a bit more to lose, but for the first time in a long time, my head knows I will. That is a victory in and of itself!

Bit of a woo-hoo for me.
My scale is trying to kill me (lol). Been stuck for ages now.
Yesterday was my and DH's anniversary. He got me a ring and I had told him size 8 (the last time I bought a ring it was a 9 - I have fat fingers lol).
Well he did his usual wait until the last minute to get it, and he had no time to size it so it was in their standard size 7, they said bring it in for sizing later.
Well not only did it fit, it's really loose! So, in spite of not losing "pounds", my body fat is dropping still. My clothes are also getting loose again.

ITA...isn't this wonderful. I used to think about how great it would be not to be thinking about food all the time!

Gorgeous, inspiring NSVs. Thanks for sharing them. I've been out shopping two days in a row. This itself is a victory, but on both days I walked by bathing suits without averting my eyes and without becoming hugely depressed. No trying on, yet, but I'm getting closer.

I just ate two cheese doodles with my chicken-filled pita at lunch time. And I DON'T FEEL LIKE I SABOTAGED MYSELF! This is my NSV!

I'm in the process of re-introducing carbs gradually after many years of Atkins-esque thinking. The pita is cool because I actually got it from the bread section of the regular grocery store (not from a special order online) - high fiber, low cal, it's good... even if it has a few carbs beyond just fiber. As for the cheese doodles, this is where the victory truly lies.. There was a bag that needed to be finished up in the closet - gave most to my kids and saved two for me... just for nostalgia... and I don't feel like I did a bad thing! If I reached for the bag and finished it off all by myself, then I would've felt that I'd done a bad thing (not calorie-wise, but overall lacking-nutritional-value-wise)... but I enjoyed my two puffy fake cheese snacks and remembered my childhood bike rides to the deli with my friends to pick up munchies now and then... I haven't let a cheese doodle enter my mouth in years! Yay for cheese doodles... and self-control!

So many NSV just in this one day. Thrilling to be sure, I share with each of you in your celebrations!

Mine today....I wanted to try on my very favorite Lucky Brand summer vintage flower capris that I haven't worn since last spring/early summer. I just had to see how they were fitting, and I was not able to zip them, but I WAS able to get them over my thighs!!

Okay, maybe I could have zipped them, but I also want to be able to breathe and sit down! Soon though, I just KNOW it!

Thanks everyone for sharing! Loving this site!

Woohoo to all these wonderful nsv's! From smaller ring sizes, to no fear of bathing suits, to working into previously non-fitting clothing, to proof of improved health. All wonderful.

I have a measurement victory. Scale is firmly stuck on 125 (which is fine), but I hadn't measured in a couple of weeks, and I "felt" like I was maybe a bit smaller, and the measuring tape bore that out. I've lost about 1/4" from each measurement between shoulder and thighs (except for bust--yay! That's shrunk enough thankyouverymuch).

I am still enjoying and grateful for non-food-obsessed days. I have more ability to keep going in my workshop and am accomplishing more. My only downside is the sleep thing. Not sleeping well. I only have 1 cuppa in the morning and nothing else with caffeine all day. I take l-tryptophan and melatonin . It takes me quite a while to get to sleep and then I wake up in 2 hours and have troubles getting back. Eventually I get up out of frustration. I know this is off topic, but I would be happy to hear anyone's input. Thanks!

You can also take Valerian, an herb that is similar to valium, I have taken that previously, it does help you relax. And I have heard that there is a longer acting melatonin if you wake up after a while. Don't have more details however, sorry about that!

I had lunch with a friend today-- aside from her telling me I look great (last time I saw her was early April, and I was just starting JUDDD)... We had sushi.
I was able to eat the rolls (small/normal, not the giant ones you sometimes get) and while I didn't eat the rice under the *very very thin* slices of fish on the nigiri pieces, and I peeled a bit of rice away from the rolls-- I still ate the rolls.

and I don't feel guilty! I counted them in my calories for the day, and that's the end of that.

Oh, and I got full and didn't eat any dessert b/c I didn't want to, not b/c I *couldn't*.

LOVE JUDDD.

Thanks cactus rose, I have added valerian to my list.

Another non scale victory for me is being able to reach the little lever ( under the left site of drivers seat ) that pops the gas tank flap without unbuckling and huffing and puffing to strain to get it. I guess there is less belly in the way now. *smile* so I am back to just reaching down to get it. YAY

Not sure if this is a victory but it is reality.
Yesterday we had our end of school luncheon. I work for a co-op so rarely ever see most of those people. I have lost 25 pounds since January so it is very obvious that I have lost. I got those "I hate you" looks from the ones that want to lose weight but are unwilling to sacrifice anything to do so. I actually kind of enjoyed that. In a warped way I guess you would say. Looking forward to the beginning of school luncheon when I am at or even below goal. Oh the little things that make our day. Just proved that I looked good.
