I had ice cream tonight - a small dish - and didn't go back for seconds. This truly IS a victory for me.

I also had my annual physical today. My BP was 118/80. The prior 3 years it hovered around 136 - 140/85 and climbing. The doctor took it 4 times, twice on each arm. I was getting scared it might be high - but it was pretty good

CONGRATULATIONS!! I relate to this victory. Isn't it awesome?

WOE: Back to JUDDD!
I went shopping today, a dreaded "chore" for me, and got 2 pairs of size 16 jeans in different brands. Keira told me the first pair makes my butt look good! I also got a blouse in a 1X, which she so eloquently told me "hides the chub." Have to love 7 year olds! Considering I was in tight 24's last October, I'll take it! Further, I got a pair of size 9 shoes. The main purpose of the shopping excursion was for shoes, since my favorite comfy pair of work shoes has been flopping when I walk they're so big!

I've been looking at cheap-o bands to wear since my wedding ring hasn't fit in months and I don't want to resize it until I'm done losing. DH told me not to worry about it because he wants to buy me a better ring next year when we renew our vows. I sure do that man!

I love this thread! Isn't it exciting, Dawn, to go down in the sizes? I hate shopping, but I have to say that I enjoy it a little more now that clothes fit so much better.

My NSV is that I may have persuaded hubby to join me on JUDDD. He currently does WW, but can't believe I've lost more in 8 weeks than he has in 12. It would be nice to be on the same plan together. He is SUCH a perfectionist though, it just might drive me a little crazy!

Keira, sounds like an awesome shopping experience, especially taking stock of how much you've achieved in just 7 MONTHS. You go, girl.

Kim, my DH has been asking more about JUDDD since seeing my results too Last week he said, "I think I'll do a DD today." I nearly fell off my chair. Since then he's weighing every day, got me to calculate his numbers and is asking "How many calories in..." every day. It's kinda cute

Yay for hubbies JUDDDing!!!! It's really awesome when both of the spouses are JUDDDing together. Built-in support system!

Mine today is both scale- and non-scale. The non-scale victory is that I got a pair of size 13's on and zipped. Too tight to wear, but getting there!!!! Size 13 is what I wore in high school, and even with vanity sizing, this is a big psychological milestone.

Scale victory is that as of today I have lost 130 pounds total.

Thanks, Dawn and Babs and Sheridan.

Dawn, I feel very fortunate. I truly was going to be okay to maintain for a while and stay at the same weight, but JUDDD had other plans. I'll take it.

I know you've been super-consistent at your weights and hopefully you're not getting discouraged, but knowing that your body is regrouping for the weightloss that is to come. And you're eating more and not gaining, KWIM?

Oh I'm absolutely not upset with my weight. I'm trying to maintain and that's what I'm doing. I eat all different calories on my DDs from 500 to 850 so far and have been exactly the same for almost a week. I almost think I want to do a free day just to see what happens. It's kind of fun experimenting now that I have taken the pressure off. That's not to say I wouldn't be happy if the weight just decided to come off anyway!

Incredible. I don't know what's more amazing: the 130 pounds or the patient persistence it must have taken to get there. You are extremely inspiring for the rest of us. (That's why i freaked out when i thought you were leaving juddd weeks agog. All. The while you were just moving to weight-loss maintenance).
Thanks,
Kristin

Thanks Kristin. Nope, not going anywhere. Imagine where all of us would be if our maintainers all left us. The knowledge base would be diminished so much. I learn so much from them and hope that people learn from me as well. I feel a responsibility of sorts to pass on what I've been given. Not going anywhere.

Besides, I would miss you all and all the inspiration that you provide to me!!!!!

Oh my! Like I have said, you are a role model for me. I don't even know what a size 13 is but it sounds awesome that you wore that in high school. Is that some kind of junior size? I wouldn't know!! hahaha

A scale victory of 130 pounds - you should be on the Dr Oz show or the Revolution and win big money and prizes! I know the prize is the weight loss itself, but it is just stupendous!!!

I hit a 98 pound loss this morning, so almost at 100 (again) and 38 of that is from JUDDD. It feels so good.

Yay for all the scale and NSV's!!!

This thread is so encouraging!

I ususally hate shopping but I had to go to the mall because my "skinny" clothes are too big. I fit in size 14 jeans and large tops. First time in a long time I didn't have to shop in a plus size store!

Mine needs to lose 5 lbs..he does that by skipping dessert for a week. Maybe someday I'll be like that. He's very supportive, though, and I wouldn't trade him for the world.

My lovely man is a head on a stick. If he took a whiff of Juddd, he'd be too Jack Sprat for me!
My thing is sorta scale, sorta not scale.
I'm down six pounds, which may not sound any bells on this wildly successful forum, but it's huge for me. PARTICULARLY because, when I arrive at my audition this morning, I will weigh what my resume says I weigh! I approach almost every audition feeling a bit stressed about that, and it is GORGEOUs to be freely focused on my life and my acting and not on whether or not I can jam my rear end and auxiliary rear end (the back-fat one above my original rear end) into my pants. There's something there, too, about intending to change my weight and then DOING IT that is empowering.
I am a happy woman this morning.

Congratulations everyone. I have been right on plan, my scale does not like me ( yet) but I feel pretty good ( this is a victory for me because I am old and in pain all the time )
and my clothes are feeling loose. Time for me to dig out some other " goal sizes. I have jeans in so many sizes, I think I will finally organize them with a tape measure by size and make a special set of plastic shelves in my bedroom , each size having it's own level. Mind you I am generally not an organized person, but I have identified that this will be a better visual goal for me than scales. My scale makes me blue. It also makes me crazy because how I wiggle or lean can change the number by 10 pounds.

Another goal I have is to sleep better. The last three nights have been ugly. SO if I can get that in line, that will be a real NSV for me too!

Thanks for listening!~

and my clothes are feeling loose.

That's what I do to keep going. I have jeans in all sizes and I try them on regularly to measure my progress. The scale, she can be a wicked beast. I hope you find what works to give you better sleep. I suffered from insomnia for years and it is the worse torture ever. Congratulations on having loose clothing. That is a big NSV!!
