Brilliant I love a 'blushing' cat. Mine fell off the bed the other day, she looked so cross, then did the nonchalant thing.

And you are Dawn!

I love it when you catch a cat falling off something. They look around to see if anyone noticed, then strut off with tail in the air and an "I meant to do that" attitude. ROFLOL.

Kissa--your NSV is how much inspiration you give to the rest of us, simply by following the rotation, living your life, and making JUDDD work for you. Now THAT is a victory!

Latest NSV – my spoiled cat flopped over for a tummy rub like he does all the time – only this time, he ran out of lap and flopped right onto the floor! He's fine, but it took a few minutes (and kitty treats) to convince him I was celebrating, not laughing at him.

JUDDD is allowing me to maintain while visiting with my mom - woo hoo! Other visits have netted me big-time gains because I went off "plan" and cheated. I've been able to keep to my rotation, but have gone to maintenance levels and lo and behold, it works! I lurve JUDDD!

I waited for awhile to post this NSV because I wasn't sure if it was for real or not and was going to stick. But I am tip toeing in here to say that I think I finally have a handle on my up days. When I started JUDDD, I was having trouble keeping my calories limited. If I ate certain trigger foods like tortilla chips or chocolate chip cookies, I could eat in excess of what I was supposed to be eating. Bit by bit, I saw myself gain more control. For a solid month now I have stayed within my UD limit within probably 50 calories either way. I am able to eat carbs without going on a binge. There was a day I would have to "finish it all" If I had a box of girl scout cookies, I couldn't eat two or three-- I ate the whole box. It's been like this for a long long time.

Being able to control this now makes me feel as free as a bird and as light as a cloud. The lack of carb control has been the undoing of many a diet I had been on before. I remember having lost 50 pounds doing LC. I went out to celebrate my 50th birthday and had one ice cream cone to celebrate. It opened the flood gates. All heck broke loose. I was like a a wild beast who had been starving and began to scarf in every carb in sight. I gained back those 50 pounds plus 10 as fast as I could sneeze. It has always been the destruction of my success.

Now, I am able to eat some carbs, some sugar, and stay in control. I know I am not going to be deprived. What can I say. What a victory.

Beverley I am so thrilled reading this. These are the true victories and important changes that JUDDD brings. Life changing and healing.

And yay to easier DDs too Bmoyer. I had one of those yesterday, almost 7 before I ate and no problem at all.

WOE: JUDDD/PHD, LC now that my BG is getting weird
Start Date: JUDDD 1/1/12 + LCHF 12/1/13 (controlling diabetes)
A few of our diabetics and pre-diabetics have reported, over various lengths of time on JUDDD, they see their blood sugar levels normalizing. Some don't, of course, but I wonder if after a longer time JUDDDing the healing will slowly happen and they too will see normal numbers in the mornings and after meals.

And then, there are people like me: physically aware of horribly inappropriate responses to starchy carbs and sweets, but apparently genetically not truly diabetic. Again, over time, I no longer experience sugar rushes/drops.

I am oh so curious about what is going to happen next as JUDDD continues to work it's magic. Whatever it is, I think it will be very good.

Beverly, I remember that whole bag of kettle chips awhile ago. These days, betcha CAN eat just one!!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

I am like you Cindy, no actual sugar diagnosis, but I can really feel, too much or too little.
thanks everyone else, I am quite thrilled right now. Oh and Bev I can really relate to losing control when eating just a little carbs, and that doesn't seem to be happening any more, now that doesn't mean tomorrow it won't but hey, if it does, the next day will take care of it lol.

Beverly, I can so keenly relate to your past experience and I bet lots of others can, too. I call it the "Go For Broke" syndrome. When it happens, it's so self-defeating. That you've gained a mastery over eating formerly forbidden foods and can limit them to normal, reasonable amounts truly is life-changing! I can relate and am utterly thrilled for you. You've been liberated!
