Swinging - what a great NSV! (sorry to be late here)

I used to adore swinging. And I bet it is a great core exercise. Golly Luna, you make me wish I had grandchildren so I would have an excuse to put up a swing set!

PS - I adore your DH too. Still have hysterics when I think about him not recognizing you.

Today's NSV. Still traveling (in Revelstoke, BC at the moment). I can hardly believe this (again), but I'm leaving a pair of pants behind when we leave today because they're too big. They fit when I started out on this trip and they look ridiculous now. Scary to leave them behind. Scary to trust that I won't get bigger tomorrow.
You know what's weird? I have no idea whether or not the scale will show a drop. It hadn't by the time I left on this trip (well, down and up, but no stable drop), so it could be that it's just my body changing with JUDDD. I can't tell you how glad I am not to have a scale with me. If I did, i'd be glued to it, and disappointed if it weren't shifting. If there are JUDDD gods, they're with me on this trip by keeping my neurotic head away from the daily numbers.
Have a great day everybody.
Kristin

Love the photo Luna! You look as though you are just loving life.

Yay for baggy pants! And freedom from the tyranny of the scale.

I noticed yesterday that I have Thigh Light too! (I hadn't looked before).

And as corny as this is, it goes through my head every time I hear the term:
"Thigh Light--go Team JUDDD!"

Skyyyyyrockets in flight – afternoon thigh light!

Hey, you get Blinded by the (thigh) Light stuck in my head for the next few days, I'm comin' at ya hardcore!

Luna, obnoxious can be a beautiful thing, especially when it makes life more fun! I'm blessed with longtime friends who never let me take myself too seriously and don't hesitate to bring the (good kind of) obnoxious when I need it!

OK, all my life I was skinny and underweight, to the point of hating my body. (CanNOT wrap my brain around hating my flat belly for so many years!!!). My genetic neuro condition went crazy a few years ago, lost a lot of mobility, started madly craving carbs, and suddenly 50 pounds in about five years.

It took awhile for my brain to catch up, even with many, many obvious clues. So many times the past years I've stepped out of the shower, caught my reflection and was jolted, "Oh, my G – whose HUGE @$$ is that? It must be mine; I live alone!"

I guess I either started tuning it out, or avoiding it entirely. Yesterday morning, I happened to get the first glimpse in months, and was jolted with, "Oh my G – where did my @$$ go???"

Still a long ways to go, but wow are NSVs a huge motivating, re-charging pleasant surprise!!!

Congrats to everyone, and NO WAY would I have been able to stick with any of this without all of your motivation and support through the frustrating plateaus!!

Luna, you are a picture of unabashed JOY! Love this pic!

Kristin sings, "I left my pants in Revelstoke, BC.. Loose on my butt, they hang on me..."

(Marge's post made me do it, LOL!)

Good on ya' for not keeping them for "just in case"! That takes an act of self-confidence.

My own NSV for today is that the pair of white capris I've been using as a gauge could zip up all the way without me having to lie down on the bed to do it! Still too much of a muffin top there to wear them anywhere in public (just because I can, doesn't mean I should), but I *will! And it won't be long!

It just occurred to me that I do indeed have a NSV!

In the last week, I've been doing some heavy gardening such as lugging a 50 lb bag of product into the wheelbarrow and then out again.

In the past I would have to sit down and re-group because my back would be shouting at me.

I've not had any back pain and that is absolutely amazing to me.

I did notice a couple of months back that my arthritic knee was not bothering me, and I did post about that.

Arthritis, begone!!! Alleluia!!!

I wanted to share a very small NSV even though I still have a long way to go-- As a teacher it was pretty tight AND painful to sit in the student desk/chair, but today it was just tight and NOT painful. I'm thinking that the initial water weight loss and some of the bloating has gone down!

Because I am not using a scale, I am looking for all signs of shrinking LOL and I'll take this as one!

Okay. This is a scale victory, but not on my scale, so I don't know what the heck to call this but it was a mini-victory nonetheless even though it does include a scale. I didn't know where else to put it.

I had to go see my doctor yesterday (have to schedule surgery, but that's another matter ) and I was curious to see what their scale said as opposed to mine. It registered 2 lbs. less than what mine did at home on Saturday (another new JUDDD low, btw). And that was with clothes on!!

It was the first time I'd looked forward to getting on the doc's scales in a loooong time!

I didn't claim it, and I know it's not a true NSV, but I was so happy!

Congrats, vanilla_latte! Love the scale victories at the doc's office! I was at mine a few weeks ago, we're walking down the hall, and, just after we pass THE ROOM, the nurse suddenly stops, looks back at me smiling and asks, did I want to check today? (she'd stopped asking because it was getting so depressing and I'd been asking to skip it the past couple of years).

I said, sure, if you have time and don't mind! She said matter-of-factly, "Well, I just noticed that you didn't give it the finger this time as we walked past."

I didn't even think she'd seen me doing that! Fortunately she didn't seem to mind at all...

I just had an appt. yesterday and my dr's scale registered 5 lbs heavier than mine, but it was 6:00 at night and I was fully dressed. The nurse let me weigh myself, and I said my scale at home is nicer to me. She asked me how much I think my shoes weigh, and I told her at least 13 pounds!

I want to "play"!

When I first started JUDDD, I was taking atleast two tylenol extra strength tablets a day for various aches and pains. It dawned on me earlier this week, when I was cleaning out my purse, and came across a bottle of them, that I have not had to take ANY AT ALL since starting on JUDDD. That will be 3 months tomorrow, Tylenol free! To me, that is just amazing, cause I used to almost panic if I ran out.

It's the little things that amaze me about JUDDD, as much as the big things!

Carole, that's wonderful! I've had similar lessening of my arthritis in my knee. And think how happy your liver is not having to metabolize all that tylenol!! woo hoo!!!!

I make and sell MAGNETIC JEWELRY, which is touted to help with pain in neck, shoulders, arms, hands, legs, feet...all over the body. These include Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Numbness in arm and fingers, Tennis Elbow, Hips, Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibomayalgia, Restless sleep, Migraines, Sinus Problems, and many more ailments of the body . ANYWAY, (before I get carried away), one of my customers noticed yesterday that I do not wear the jewelry, and asked why not....didn't I believe in it? I told him, that "Yes, I believe in it, IF YOU NEED IT, but that following the WOE I follow, that I do not need it." He wasn't interested in changing his diet at all, so I guess I will just keep him as a customer!

My NSV for this week is my disappearing 'bum shelf'.... LOL!

I have this band of fat just above my backside that has gone! I caught my reflection in a window, and realised I have a bubble butt and no more massive backside! The disappearing shelf has accentuated my roundness, but I kinda like it!

WTG everyone!! This thread is so inspiring, I even come in and read it at 3 am when I can't sleep, which is fairly often.

Latest NSV – my spoiled cat flopped over for a tummy rub like he does all the time – only this time, he ran out of lap and flopped right onto the floor! He's fine, but it took a few minutes (and kitty treats) to convince him I was celebrating, not laughing at him.
