My NSV for today are health and looks related:

I have a nasty case of blepharitis and have horrible infection flare ups in my right eye.

Not sure if it's to do with SIRT1, or my general health, but I'm thinking that since my immune system is completely shot from all the antibiotics I got a couple of months ago, I'm ascribing the victory to SIRT1!

Also, my jeans were really loose (they are skinny jeans) and I decided to measure myself, and I've lost about 1.5 inches from my thighs, 1.5 from my hips and 2.5 from my waist! Almost time to go down a size in jeans!!!! (which is good, there's plenty of them in my closet and they haven been worn for ages!)
Woo hoo!! Another victory for the eyes healing! The overall healing to the immune system helps with all sorts of things we never thought about! And congrats on the loss of inches. Going down jean sizes is one of the most rewarding NSV's to me.

My NSV for today are health and looks related:

I have a nasty case of blepharitis and have horrible infection flare ups in my right eye. The last time I had a flare up was at the end of February, and I even had to stay in hospital.
This last Friday I felt my eyelid burn and itch again, and it looked red. Saturday was my DD and it went away by itself! I've not had this happen before! I've got to take extra care with my eyes, and once an infection of the eyelid starts, I can't stop it. This time it went away by itself.

That's fabulous! Especially the eye condition, I've never heard of it but if it's usually bad enough to put you in the hospital, that's pretty bad! And for it to go away by itself! What a wonderful health benefit.

and yay on the jeans! I adore going down a size in jeans.

That's my NSV for today too. I went with DH to the store and tried on jeans and bought a new pair of size 15 jeans and size 14 crop jeans. The 15s are a bit snug in the hips, but so cute!!

I'm still trying to figure out the differences between misses sizes and juniors sizes.

Me too! I know it is never going to go away completely as it is a chronic disease, but not having the accute infection flare ups would be sooooo nice!!!!

Mimosa, so glad to hear about your eye healing on its own! Love hearing that kind of victory in addition to your skinny jeans being too loose.

Luna, I bet it's a *thrill when you go shopping these days. Sooo happy for you!

This is my first NSV. My jeans have felt a little loose (not falling down) this past week. I bought two pair of this style but I've only been wearing one. Today I tried on the unworn jeans and they are also a little loose. A very small victory, but 2 months ago I was was afraid to put my jeans in the dryer because they might not fit then. I'll take a small victory for sure!

Whatever it is that makes JUDDDing feel like freedom rather than restriction. This is a great feeling.
Not bad for one week.

This is a big victory in my book. So many of us get to experience the pure joy of going down in jean sizes!!

So true. JUDDD allows us to feel free again. You are making me want some apple crisp! And, the best part of it is, I can have it!!

My NSV was gaining control of my UD calories today. Ate moderately for breakfast and lunch since I was going out for dinner but even 1100 calories doesn't go very far in my very favorite Italian restaurant so I planned ahead and made choices. I had a salad to start instead of one of the gooey appetizers and had an appetizer size portion of my favorite pesto pasta dish instead of the entree size. I LOVE their bread and pesto oil dip so I traded for a few slices of bread and skipped the wine and dessert. I really could have (and would have if eating intuitively) had it all and been very happy. I will probably be dreaming about the chocolate bread pudding with carmelized bananas that I did NOT have or the maple ginger snap gelato that I did NOT have but that's ok. I hit my calorie ceiling and stopped. There will be other desserts in my future.

Since I relate to needing to manage the UD's, I think of this as a HUGE victory. Learning to spend our calories like we are on a budget and picking and choosing the best choices for ourselves, versus eating it all, is a wonderful feeling. I am SO proud of you!!

First I just want to say how happy I am for every victory listed here. Each one is a milestone leading to your ultimate goals! I have experienced the same ones and know how wonderful it feels!

My most recent NSV came several days ago when I was shopping and got the nerve to try on some BELTED dresses!!! This has been one of my "visualization" goals in my head since the very beginning. To feel comfortable wearing a dress with a waistline accentuated with a BELT!!!!! has been maybe my ultimate goal! I bought TWO really cute dresses with belts! I can't help it, I am very excited.

I just tried on a pair of trousers that I'd put away in the assumption that they wouldn't fit for a very long time. They're not exactly comfortable (or suitable for the public!!) but they do up and that's a big surprise.

What prompted me to try them on was, when I was sorting my washing into piles (it's dry and windy today, I love a good drying day!) I happened to catch sight of myself. Only two weeks in and I'm looking much better in the body. It's scary how fast you can change. Scary. I did not think this was possible.

Just bought exercise clothing, which is always an icky chore, but I found some I like and feel like I look pretty good in them. They are 1X (pants and shirts) which is still pretty large, but I'm tall, so even when I'm skinny I'm in Large or X-Large. I got a bright green and a medium purple top, so that's an accomplishment too. They aren't black or grey!

ETA: My 7 year old just told me my (in her words) "boobs look perfect!" in them.

Aw thanks Phyl! I'm nowhere near goal yet, but am toying with the idea of maintaining for a couple of weeks or a month. I haven't decided to do it yet, as I'm still losing, but I may be getting a bit of "diet fatigue" and really don't want to quit. I have about 45 pounds left to my "I may be done but will decide when I get there" goal.
