A Tuff DD today

Just wanted to get that off my chest b/c no one else could understand around me. I eat up to my calories yesterday and today for lunch and dinner I had the cabbage, laughing cow cheese and chuck roast. For Breakfast yogurt and a piece of 35 calorie bread. It could be b/c I stayed at home today and I was restless making me board and therefore being hungry. Tomorrow will be a Month of Juddd'ing and I hope to atleast loose 2 pounds being I stayed even last week but all in all 9.5 pounds is still good. Thanks for listening b/c sometimes thats all that is needed.

:hugs: I do think DDs are easier when I stay busy. Less time to think about food and 'think' I'm hungry!

Sympathies, been there. Questions:

I know this has happened to you before. Have you ever had good DDs?

Do you keep a food log? I find the effect is lessening over time, but at first (and for about five weeks) I did have foods (yes, starchy carbs) that seemed to leave me hungry for about 24 hours after I ate them. I really am finding this is getting better. I am fingers, toes, and eyes crossed that DDs will get better for you.

Yes the one before that was great and yes I log my food into ************ on the day before. I plan everything I eat it just that today it was tuff and I think its b/c Sunday has always been family day of eating and my meal was scaled back.

I understand! I think DDs are much easier if I do not eat until late in the day. It is not easy to wait sometimes, but the effect is that I eat my allotted cals and then I am happy. Hope that you find your own method of hanging in there!

Understanding.

Have you noticed any particular foods that you eat on your UD that may leave you hungrier on your DD (I think that's what Nancy was asking)? I get much better appetite suppression on DD's if I stay away from starchy/sugar carbs on UD's. My DD's when I was carb experimenting were MUCH harder on me.

And social eating cues can be pretty strong, so it may simply be that your Sunday wasn't what your mind expected.

Hoping you see a nice loss when you weigh in tomorrow.

At first for me DDs at home were so hard. It took a good couple months before my DDs got easier. Now I can ignore the hunger but ar first it was really tough. Especially being home with lots of goodies around. They will get easier. Just hang in there. Part of the reason I did my DDs only mon, wed, and fri was fear of being home and not being able to handle it. I have figured out that I do just fine now so I'm starting the normal rotation to see if I can lose these last 5lbs. You have done great!

You're understood here. :) :hugs:

For me, I have little trouble on DDs when I'm home alone and when I'm making dinner for the family when they get home later. And I don't have trouble when I'm out and about from home on DDs.

The times I have trouble is when everyone is home, like on Sat and Sun, and sort of fixing their own stuff throughout the day. The smells from the kitchen, the sight of them munching on various foods... :stars:

So it's harder for me when everyone's here eating whatever, than when I'm the one cooking for them or here alone. That sounds like what happened to you today.

I tend to make Sat & Sun FDs for that reason since I'm in maintenance.

Hope you enjoy your UD tomorrow and look forward to a better DD next time. :)

The only suggary carbs I have had the 4 weeks I have been on Juddd is 5 dove chocolate promise and 1 girl scout cookie. Yesterday I had fried perch fish and broasted potatoes and baked beans for the first time in a long time so maybe that was the problem. I have not had a white potato in ssssssssoooooooooooo long I can't even remember. About an hour ago my hunger turned off and I am fine and I also tried on another pair of jeans and got into them so something is working.:)

Yay for the better fitting jeans!

And whine away--we all need to do it every once in a while.
