I've had an up, up and away weekend too. I feel SO full, and am really looking forward to a dd tomorrow.

Glad to see you sticking with it, and hoping you get a visit from the whoosh fairy this week.

Thanks everyone. Today was a bit higher than I would have liked for a down day. Mostly because it was supposed to be an up day, and roasted chicken was on the menu for dinner. Dark meat is more calorific than white, as you know, and DH has dibs on the breasts. Soooo, leg and thigh were for me. But it wasn't too far off from the 600, so it's all good.

Update

OK, two weeks into this challenge and I'm down to 148.6 today on my "official" weigh in day. That's 7 pounds from where I started two weeks ago (willing to bet more than half that was water to begin with) but still nearly 4 pounds from my lowest weight back in November. I also had to deal with TOM and being terribly ill this week. Next Saturday will be the next "official" weigh in day and if there are no "hiccups" in the week, I should be real close to that 145 again.

Speck, I just saw that we started JUDDD at almost the same time. I was only trying to lose a few pound to get to goal, 3 lbs.

But here I am still losing, although not really trying. Slow and steady is okay, though 7 lbs in 2 weeks is fast!

So glad it is working for you again.

Great to see that you're back on track!

Have you thought about weighing once a week (after a down day) as it says in the book? I find I can get very disheartened if I weigh every day and I'm not so tempted to stray from my planned numbers.

Thanks everyone. I'm still sick. boo.
I weigh everyday usually, but only "count" the weigh in that occurs the day after a weekend down down.

Sorry to keep you waiting all day! Metqa!

Well, today was my official weigh in day and I was 148.0. So .6 net loss for the week. I would have liked to be much closer to 145, but I'd say it's working again and I should keep at it for a while longer. Thanks everyone for your support!

Hey Speck! Thanks for the update!

It sounds like TOM and physical illness were fighting you this week. Are you feeling better?

I am hoping this week will get you back to your preferred weight loss rate.

Metqa, Happy Birthday and I love Terry Pratchet's books!

Nancy, thanks! I'm about 95% well. Still coughing and sniffly, and feeling a bit run down. I think the body wants to hold onto its fat stores when fighting an illness. I'm lucky I lost at all last week.
