DD for me

For my first DD I didn't eat until about 6pm, and I was pretty happy with that set up.

So, today I'll be drinking no cal drinks, then have my Chicken stuffed with Broccoli and cheese for 240 at around 6pm. I may have something else with it (like tomato or some fruit) to bring me up to about 350ish.

DD--I think day 20. I ate way too much SB snacks (although I did keep them low carb ) I also had a glass and a half of wine. I may just see how long I can last today on just coffee and water with lemon and green tea. I'll check back later if I have to add more.

I just had to tell you that the last 3 days we've been away and on the road I used these Protein Power shakes, and they were a DD lifesaver. Along with a OMM and two shakes, I was set for the day. That evening, I experimented with MUDDD because of visiting, and it worked out beautifully.

The pure protein shakes are wonderful! I think it's because they have so much protein. They are very filling. I picked up some zoic shakes from big lots and im gonna check them out. They are 15g protein but they also have fiber and they are only 90 calories. They are so much cheaper than the pure protein shakes. That's the only bad thing about them. 750 for 4 shakes. The zoic shakes are only 5 dollars so we will see.

B

-Pure Protein Chocolate powder mixed with whole milk (290)

It's a lot of calories early in the day, but it really does keep me full for a good 4 - 5 hours, and having a high protein b'fast within 30 min of rising is part of the experiment I'm doing for the Leptin Rx (just the sleep part, I don't think I'm leptin resistant).

Sazzie - glad to hear you were able to modify your woe for the occasion!

Hopefully that will be it. Lately, I cannot keep myself from snacking. Like, serious snacking. On UD's, sometimes my "snacks" come in higher than any single meal of the day.

snacks are also my downfall. I think the thought that, "It's just a snack" is what causes the denial about the # of calories we're consuming. Or something like that. I'm trying to redefine my view of snacking on JUDDD (and making sure that I focus on actual meals so that I don't feel bad about eating a million extra calories, and that my body has good nutrition for the following DD).

I ramble! Just wanted to say, "You're not alone!!"

They are calorie dense--sometimes I'll just have half. But today it helped me get from breakfast at 7:30 to lunch at noon without snacking--so saved myself the 174 calories I'd have had from the mixed nuts. So it worked out for me. I only eat them about once a week.

There's also the low calorie OMM made with Oat Fiber instead of Flax. I can't eat them, but lots of people do on DDs. It's Ouizoid's recipe on the down days recipes thread.

DD - and a relatively easy one!!

B: 2 cups of tea
L: Hot and Sour Soup (46 cals!!) 100gms of Dill Pickle
D: 100gms of Rib eye, 1-2 cups of salad - with a delicious dressing from plain yoghurt, mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder and some chilli! - and 100gms of steamed green beans

As it is so, relatively, hot at the moment (34 degrees centigrade - 93F), even when I feel like having a coffee out - it feels too hot!!! So I end up having a diet coke instead!

All told - cals came in around 350
