Question for maintainers
 
I am losing well and enjoying JUDDD. My numbers are 380-DD, and 1900-UD. I am losing about 2 pounds/week and I am close to maintenance.

I know that I will need to see how my body reacts but I am trying to loosely make a maintenance plan in my mind.

If you are a maintainer who counts calories, would you please give me your stats and maintenance plan.

I was thinking of alternating 1000-1200 calorie down days with 1900-2200 up days, and having one day a week of fasting/staying below 500 calories{I like the feeling, and potential health benefits}.

Does this sound like a rational maintenance plan? Any input is appreciated!!

Hi, Amber. Your plan for your maintenance is quite similar to what I've come to enjoy myself. So to me it sounds like a very rational maintenance plan. :laugh:

I still most often measure out my DD food choices and enter into ******. My DDs are usually in the 800-1000 calorie range, except that I also do some real fasting DDs too, just for the benefit that you mention. I like the fasting, and go through periods where I do more low-calorie DD fasting, and then just naturally move into a period where I eat at my higher DD calorie range and not so much low fasting level days.

But my UDs are almost always higher than 2200. Often by several hundred calories. Some of my UDs are completely weighed and measured out and counted calorie-by-calorie, and some are completely Free Days, with no regard to what I eat or to what the calorie counts might end up being.

And occasionally I have days where I'm rushing and just blow past any measuring or conscious awareness of calories, and the chips fall wherever they fall. LOL But I've been doing this for quite awhile now, so hopefully I have formed a strong habit of eating within my range.

I think of even more importance is that I weigh almost every single morning. Still. If my weight bounces, fine. But if the bouncing up is not seeming to bounce back down.. that's my signal to tighten up a bit and bring the weight down a few pounds.

Hi Pat, Thanks so much for your input. I figure that I'll probably go higher on UD'S than my posted numbers because I exercise quite a bit. Maintenance at these levels seems really reasonable. I will still do a fasting day a week but it will be nice to do it on my terms, around my schedule. Thanks for your help!!!

I started JUDDD to maintain and jumped right into doing 500-600 cal DD and not counting on up days (so they are FD's). I think this has worked well for me as you can see by my last month stats. I like to stay around 120 and I assume most days I do not go over 2000 calories on my FD's
