DD and am eating Malay Food tonight!

Have been searching for cals for Malay food online and somethings seem to be okay

Chicken Satays 24 per stick (trying to avoid the peanut sauce!)
String hoppers 35 per hopper (without the sauce!)
Mee Hailam (noodles and meat and soup base?) 277 cals per bowl
Couple of soups in at under 300 cals

Anyone have any suggestions??

So, we're off to the restaurant this morning to see the menu - so I can make a decision and work out the rest of my food for the day!!

If I was still following Atkins - I would just have had to say 'no' - noodles, rice - sugar in all the sauces!!!!

I do love JUDDD - that even on a Down Day I can make this work!!!

Think that's the way I'm going!

Starter: Short Soup (wontons with pork) - around 52 cals per cup according to a website
Main: Tom Yum Mixed Seafood (according to *** 285 cals for a bowl weighing 668gms - not that I'm taking my scales!!) & some Thai Fish Cakes (another website says they're 50 cals each - the serving is 4 (starter size) so a total of 200 cals)

Thinking that the meal won't be exactly those numbers- but imagine I can get away with it for around 700 cals and as I've only had 44 cals today - this still makes this an excellent DD!!!

It was very good - but there were 15 people on our table - and service was ridiculously slow!!

we arrived at 6.45 and didn't get our main courses till 9!!!!! What we ate was excellent!

Imagine my Tom Yum was about the size mentioned above - but I did eat a piece of Steve's beef and there was some chicken in my Short Soup (which the calorie site did mention) - still imagine I managed 700 cals though!

Sounds like you managed quite nicely, and deliciously, Vicky. As Cindy said, now you get to have a great UD on top of it!

BTW, Cindy (Kissa), no WAY do you look 64!
