I'd like to lower my UD calories

The calculator says I need almost 2k, but can I lower that to 1700 permanently?

In case somebody asks, I'm between 71 and 72 inches depending on the day and 26 years old. I always put the least amount of exercise in.

The calculator told me I needed some 2300 or so on UDs, because I'm starting out so heavy to begin with. I found I needed to eat less than that on UDs, so I changed it to 1800, which is close to the UD level for my goal weight. This level works very well for me, and it gives me some flexibility to add a few 100 calories on special event days without feeling like a failure

Is your weight correct in your siggy? 175 lbs?

If it is, the calculator shows your UD number as around 1956 calories. Your DD number varies depending on the wt. loss % you put in. I personally would eat all the calories. He came up with those numbers for a reason, IMO. It's only 300 extra calories, you could add in olive oil while cooking or an extra treat. My UD calories are exactly the same and I thoroughly enjoy them.

Is there a reason you want to lower the calories?

My UD level is 1978/DD 396. My thinking is I'm going to stay up around that level as long as I can because I realize as I lose weight that UD # will go down because I will weigh less. It's working wonderful so far.

Seems like the calculator works for many but some us us learned that we could eat more cals eating lc than SAD, grain based, vegetarian, etc.
Then there are some who seemed to need to stay low cal.

My point being, that there is some individuality in play. It is not black and white.

Try both ways and see what happens.
