a swift kick in the pants...TIGHT pants

i'm really strugglin....i was down to 178.4 and i know that scales a bouncer but i just can't get this hunger demon off of my back....this morning i was up to 184 i did eat out last night at chili's but dang....my DD's all week have been under 400....i've been REALLY biting the bullet each of those days too...today my DD is 325and i'm going to BED because i'm so incredibly hungry and CAN't eat anymore because i feel like i really am screwing this up somehow....what am i doing wrong i just don't know, my UD's besides last night, haven't gone above 1800....i'm just feeling sad and that i'm spiraling...i was doing ok for 8 weeks and suddenly feel like it all blew up in my face....i was so hoping and wanting to do this well but with constant hunger on DD's and monitoring my UD's sooo closely i'm starting to feel obsessive about this....

Perhaps 325 is just too darn low for you. I know it would be for me.

I say actually up those a bit closer to 500 (or even up to 600), and relax a bit.

Drink lots of water, eat protein/fiber to help you feel fuller longer, and realize it is a marathon, not a sprint - the harder you make it for yourself, the less likely you are to stick to it in the long run...

I go real low if it's one of those fun days where it just feels good to fast, and you're really into it, and it's almost pure pleasure.

But, on those DDs where it is especially hard, I never tried to force the extreme DD calorie number. So then 500 calories worked just fine. Occasionally even more.

Do the best you can each DD, and overall it will work well for you.

Thanks for that....the first instinct i get when not losing and gaining back is to tighten the reigns but ive always been at or below 400.... i can just try to go higher on dds i suppose and see where that takes me...its the only thing i haven't tried....i just get so scared that i feel like I'm failing and i panic....when I was on lc and started gaining and obsessing went vlc and still couldn't lose...i felt like i failed there too....ive stopped working out 3 weeks ago because i was sick...haven't started back...maybe i do need to work out to lose weight....

Oh dear. BIG

I agree with everyone. Take your DDs up. Feel hungry, not weak and miserable. There will be DDs you sail through at very, very low or even no cal. And there will be DDs where your body demands more. Don't push so hard that you fail to learn to recognize true, body hunger (and give it a nice hunk of protein/fiber). Sometimes, for no obvious reason, our bodies are busy doing something and they need more calories to get it done.

You will be alright. Really, you will.

Im so sorry you are struggling. I totally cell your pain. I gained after I started juddd and almost quit but I kept going and an just now settling in. Im still not losing. Im maintaining but at least im not eating carbs and gaining 6lbs overnight. My body had adjusted but it took time. Hang in there. Your body just may be really jacked up from all the dieting. Eat more on your DDs of you need to. You don't have to totally starve yourself. Hang in there a little longer and maybe add in some easy exercise.

Another one encouraging you to up your DD calories! You don't have to go under 500 if you don't want. Some people fast completely, some stay under 500, some do 500, some do 600-700. It still works. Don't get burned out, give yourself a nice higher DD if you need it next time.

At times, the hunger won't be there, and other times (esp. during our cycles) we will be EATING MACHINES, and on those times, I just go ahead and "feed the machine" lol. I mean, I try to stay near my limit, but those times I know I'm prob gonna need a few hundred extra calories, so I eat 'em. lol.

Hope you're having a better day today!

Good thoughts for u.
I've had a much better Judd day.
Drank 3 cups of Swiss miss sf coccolith mix.

Checking box now, says I drank 180 calories. ON Dd.
Woops. Hey it's a cold and Rainey day! I'm happy.
On the subject of scales and weighing. I don't.
I hate the scales. They lie.
They can make a perfectly good day turn into sadness.
I'm going for ow I feel, not what the scale thinks! It's an idiot!
I do wt. once a week. And then Maybe not.
