Thoughts on JUDDD after two weeks

Thoughts at the two week point--

I was born fat and have been fighting the battle ever since. My first diet was when my mom took me to Take Off Pounds Sensibly when I was eleven. My life has been a diet ever since. Yet, I only grew fatter and fatter. Fat has ruined many of my hopes and dreams, so of course I tried everything to eradicate the beast. Weight Watchers, grapefruit diet, Phen-Fen, Atkins, South Beach, Cheramino pre-digested protein diet, fasts of all sorts, hypnosis, past life regression, vitamin therapy, the cabbage soup diet, xenical, Alli, Jenny Craig, psychotherapy, Nutrisystem, low fat, acupuncture, the Zone, and back to Weight Watchers ( lost over 120 pounds), and back to low carb. Then I read about HCG and thought that was my miracle solution and it was for the first round where I lost 35 pounds in six weeks. But I couldnít maintain it and ended up doing 8 rounds and greatly negatively impacting my health. I also went to a nutritionist who was aghast at my broken metabolism from years of dieting.

My mental attitude and emotional state constanty screamed DEPRIVATION every time I started a new plan. I developed patterns of going on binges because I knew I was going to deprive myself of food.

In Life Extension magazine, I was reading about the benefits of calories restriction and thought that might improve my health. Then I came across JUDDD on this board. It all made sense to me. But like many people I worried that it wouldnít really work for ME because I felt my metabolism was broken beyond repair. The thought of fasting a day made me think of HCG again and I worried it would set me on a binge of all binges when an up day would come. Because of my years of deprivation, I couldnít keep anything carby or sweet in the house because I would need to finish it- all of it- no matter what it was. I felt compelled to finish it off.

I started JUDDD with a DD and I was hungry, but did okay. Then the up day came. I did go a bit crazy and probably ate up to 3000 calories, but was surprised when I wasnít all that hungry the next day. :) My calorie allotment should be 2100/424. Some of the down days I didnít eat at all. I liked that. I liked not calculating any calories, freedom from thinking about food, not cooking or cleaning. It almost seemed meditative in a way. I worried about how to handle eating out on a DD, but saw I could do it with planning. Today I met friends for lunch at Black Angus and ate a piece of grilled chicken, asked for plain broccoli, and put salsa on my lettuce salad. All within my calories for the day.

And, joy of all joys, I see that the SIRT1 gene was turned on and I am not hungry on my down day today. :jumpjoy::jumpjoy:I am having visitors this weekend and have things in the house to eat for them that ARE NOT CALLING TO ME. :jumpjoy: There is bread and chocolate and yummy stuff and I donít feel I have to eat it. I donít desire it. :jumpjoy: THIS IS WHAT NORMAL PEOPLE MUST FEEL LIKE! I can eat on my up days until I feel satisfied and the deprived feeling is leaving me. What joy.

I didnít weigh yet because I want to be sure to give this time to kick in so I see weight loss on the scale when I do weigh. I am also looking forward to decreasing my inflammation and improving my health like was listed in this article a JUDDD BUDDD posted.

Feast or famine: The diet that won't just help you lose weight, you'll live longer and be brainier! | Mail Online

Dare I think this is the answer to my prayers? :aprayer: Will this get the weight off and improve my health? More importantly, is this something that I can do to maintain the loss forever?

Shhhhhh... donít tell anyone what I am going to say because I donít want to jinx it, but I think it just might be the answer. I am scared to think it and believe it because I have had a life of disappointment when it comes to getting rid of the fat. But when I read this board and the success everyone is having, I well with tears of hope.

So this marks two weeks and I will keep you posted.. cross your fingers for me.
