My last 2 DD's
 
I don't understand why on the last 2 DD's my stomach is not growling but I have the desire to eat more. I stay under 500 and I eat very close to my UD calories even though I am stuff most times. When I first started out I did not have this problem so what has changed?:dunno: Ready for some answers please.

Sorry, not sure. Doesn't usually happen to me. Tried drinking more fluids I imagine?

Many of us get hungrier at certain points in our cycles. Last month I was ravenous for several days. During these times, I go ahead and eat more. Otherwise, the hunger won't leave me alone. Once that point in the cycle is up, I go back to good appetite suppression.

I drink over 9 cups of water a day. I get scared to eat more b/c I want to get back in my clothes so bad and I don't want to mess things up. If it keeps up I am gonna have to try something until it passes.

i had this problem last week...i can't get enough on my DD's now....i try to keep it low but dang soooo hungry!!!! i just don't know what gives....i suck down fluids all evening so i won't snack but it's getting harder for me!?! wish i had an answer but i'm letting you know ur not alone!

I haven't figured out a pattern to mine yet. Some DDs are a breeze and then I'm hungry all day on others. I just play mental games to get through the harder ones.

There have been several posts about this in the last few days. Many people (including me) who usually sail through DD are suddenly ravenous. Hormones could explain it...but I am years past TOM. :annoyed: Eating too little on UD can explain it...but I went a bit over on pure lc yesterday. :dunno: I wonder if it is a phase of the moon or the weather or the hex of the JUDDD witch. :stars: I do know that it happens from time to time and it passes. But it sure is miserable when whatever is happening, happens.:eek:

Cold weather does increase your appetite but it's 60 degrees here in Chicago so I can't use that excuse.

Well went to Zumba tonight so I am not as focused on food now. I gonna have some Tea and be thankfull for my UD tomorrow. Is was almost 60 here today but on my dd's I am freezing cold but I was like that on LC also.

Just another vote of "you're not alone!" The last two have been awful. I thought it was because of carb intake on UD, but day before yesterday I was totally lc and still went nuts last night. Maybe we can all just bear down and get through it; I'm afraid I'm out of other ideas!

SSometimes it's not even hunger for me, just a desire to eat. I don't want to drink any more calories and need to chew!! The only thing that really helps me is distraction. Chewing gum does for a minute, but then I just want to swallow it. I don't, but I want to!

There are some threads about really low cal foods that you can perhaps go to at times like this - and going a little over your cal count won't hurt.

I find that if I have certain things in the fridge - I can have one of them - and then get on with not being overly concerned.
eg:
Fish/Crab Sticks - 1 or 2 of these comes in at 12-24 cals
Pickled Onions - 100gms (sorry don't know oz) = 23cals
SF Jelly/o - 1/4 of a pack = 8 cals
Or if I really need something filling;
Babybel cheese (small one) - 61 cals

If you're not too worried about carbs - I also do a particularly British thing - have a cup of tea and a rich tea biscuit (cookie, but not like you'd know it!) for just under 40 cals.

Another go to (more as a meal) is a frothy coffee - ie a skinny latte (55 - 100+ cals, dependent on size!)

Find a few go to things that are easy to have in the house and that won't up your cal count too much - or set you off on a carb binge (if that's your problem!)

It's interesting but when we come from LCarb, we tend to forget about little things that are low cal that we can eat on this WOE - partly because we are used to only eating specific high fat/high cal things - because we can! We then turn to Low Cal - and we think 'there's nothing to eat, because I can't have that snack' - but there is!!!!!

On the other hand - there are also DD when I could chew off my arm and just have to a) find something to do take my mind off it or b) just keep reminding myself that the next day is an UD (or both!)

Today's DD was SOOOOO much better. I'm definitely sticking with the liquids all day + light supper method from now on!

Just a thought...intensive workouts can make you ravenous. I speak from experience. After Zumba or any other exercise that burns lots of cals I get extremely hungry about 1 to 2 hours after. I would guess on DDs we are already low so maybe burning off what little we do have sends signals that we are hungry, but then again I was hungry after working out while on other plans :confused:...I hope the hunger subsides for you :hugs:

Well this is a down day for me and so we will see what happens. For my lunch I have cabbage and some leftover porksteak at about 1.75ozs and for dinner I will be having more cabbage with small shrimp in it. For Breakfast I am having 1/4c of oatmeal and a vanilla carbmaster yogurt. That will put me at 515calories for the day. This will be my first time eating over 500 so we will see what happens. I will be taking Zumba tonight it that burns about 600 calories or more.

Too weird. 1/31 was an 'I am starving' DD. Doubling over hunger that I finally gave in to: 800 calories. Something must have been happening in my bod 'cause I hit a new low yesterday morning. Then yesterday was a busy UD the started early - at 4 PM I realized I had eaten nothing by four tb of hwc in coffee in the morning. Wasn't hungry and had to work to come up with enough UD calories.
