If you are doing JUDDD, your UD eating will end with the last meal of your Up Day. So probably supper or maybe a little evening snack later. But that's the last you will eat much until you finally start your next UD, so when that last meal of your UD is over, that's when your *fast* will start.

So you will not be eating for the rest of the hours of that UD after supper or your snack until you go to bed.. and then you will be fasting all night while you're sleeping, and then the whole next day is a DD, so you will be fasting all day long then too (on 500 or fewer calories), and then you will continue fasting all through the night again, extending your fasting hours until you first eat on that following Up Day.

So you'll be fasting for a night and a day and another night, from the last meal of an UD, through all of the following DD, and until your first meal of the following UD. This is usually a span of about 36 hours and often longer. All of those hours we will not be putting food into our mouths (other than those few DD calories), and that is usually a stretch of about 36 or more hours.

And a very good thing it is too. As long as there is a little something to keep us going.
