Do you often...

lose after an UD? I'm wondering because I lost after a big up day yesterday. We had a wonderful supper after my DH came home after being gone for a month, and we even had cookies, and I still lost a pound from yesterday!

my weight loss seems to always occur 3 days after a DD, which means in my cycle that I often lose after an UD and sometimes gain after a DD.

Nope, not yet anyway. Always up after an UD. It'd be nice though.

Me too! I know the book says to weigh after a DD, but that little trick doesn't seem to work for me. Like someone recently said, it's a roller coaster! As long as it's a downward trend, it's all that matters.

I don't have a scale, but I swear my jeans are looser today than they were when I last wore them on Tuesday. And I had a slab of cheesecake the size of a house yesterday!!

Definitely. I've lost after UDs where I've gone a bit over even, and have also gained after extremely low DDs. Other times it seems to just do the usual thing where it goes down after DDs and up after UDs. I think for some of us it sometimes just takes maybe a day or two (or more) for the results of any day of eating to catch up to what we see on the scale.

This seems to be my results too...mostly, there is no rhyme or reason to my weigh ins...I wish I could have a neat up after UD, down after DD routine...but no such luck!

There is an old thread asking this question. I think it was in October. I also think I figured about 1/4 of JUDDD BUDDDs gain on DD and lose on UD. As long as your body is happy, everything s'al right.

I asked about this in my first week (a month ago), b/c the same thing was happening to me. Unfourtunatly, it ended pretty quick though. Although you never know - I just lost my first lb in 2 weeks following an UD. Our bodies are strange at times!!

When that happens, I think of it as losing *after* a DD...just 2 days after!!!
And the gain after a DD is really just the UD showing up!!!

I've lost after my last two UDs. 1 lb 2 days ago, and 1.2 lbs this morning. I've remained the same the last to DDs.

I sometimes lose from my DD after the next UD. So I may show up after my DD but then down after my UD....guess my body is alittle slow registering LOL

Glad to hear you were down two more yesterday! It's so much fun, isn't it! LOL

There isn't any particular logical rhyme nor reason to the losses and gains we see. I mean, it's pretty easy to understand that since complete digestion can often take more than 24 hours, some of that UD/DD gain/loss numbers we see reflected on the scale can just be the result of our digestive tract being more or less full of our last meals... and not anything related to body fat loss at all.

And then that whole thing about our bodies replacing lost fat from the fat cell with water, as a place holder.. just in case the cell is going to be needed again in a day or two.. before jettisoning the water.. whoosh..

And the water retention or release, up and down, depending on the varying carb consumption over the days.. Or maybe a salty food item.. Or maybe MSG in something we ate at a restaurant. I finally just got to the point that I weigh, jot down the weight, and no longer try to figure it out.
