I shouldn't go to a store that sells food on a DD...

Oy...Why do I do this? So i went to Target Monday night (A DD btw) and I picked up some diet soda (it's a vice!) aaaand they had M&M's on sale for 3/$8. So yeah...i bought 3 bags. Tomorrow's another DD and i swear those bags (and the M&M's in my dispenser) are laughing at me.

Would it be bad if half my UD cals on thursday came from M&Ms??

I told myself I shouldn't...but I did. It's just really the first week, i'm allowed some mistakes, right?

I am bad shopping in a dd, I think I will have this, this n this for my UD tomorrow, then, come my UD, I fancy something else altogether!

I think many of us go "hog wild" at first on UD's....after all, we are releasing ourselves from a lot of restrictions, and it's just normal. Just make sure your DD's are really, really GOOD! And know that eventually you'll be able to lessen the "need" to eat "naughty" foods. Or at least put them off so you do get some good nutrition in there on UD's!

It's funny I often fancy something naughty on a DD and take great pleasure in deciding that it's okay - I can have it tomorrow - then not wanting it on the UD!

Buying things in "snack size" or single servings is your best friend sometimes lol.

With my daughter's intensive therapy schedule I only have one or two opportunities a week to go to the story and most of them have fallen on DDs. It sure makes shopping interesting! Even when I'm not feeling any hunger I still want to buy, like, the whole store.

You know, I totally agree with this,

EXCEPT

when we buy these, we are paying a huge premium in per-unit price. Granted, it may be JUST the crutch we need, and I wouldn't deny it to anyone, but somehow, I cannot allow myself to do this! When I do this, the manufacturers win. Not an acceptable outcome (for me)!

I'm the queen of cheap! (hence buying THREE BAGS ON SALE!). Goodness, I have to start shopping based on need, not want!

But man I sure did need those M&MS!

I shouldn't read posts like this on a DD!

When I started JUDDD, there was all this Halloween candy everywhere and I resisted it for the most part (because candy and other refined carbs are one of my downfalls!!!). Anway, I went and bought several huge bags of it to pass out to the trick-or-treaters, and then DH decided it wasn't enough since last year we had 400 kids come by, and he went and bought several MORE huge bags. Well, we only had about 100 kids, and we were left with bags upon bags of candy.

I set aside for myself some of my favorites, but even eating it on UDs was cutting into my calories quite drastically! So little candy adds up to sooo many calories! Plus, it seemed to make me want more and more, lol, and then after indulging too much I felt kinda sick. I finally bagged it up and gave it away.

There are still some chocolate candies around here that were gifted to us at Christmas, but I'm working on that very very slowly, like one piece per week. DH is getting into the action now and then, and he can eat as much as he wants without gaining, so that helps, lol.

Also, grocery shopping on DD is a unique experience, lol. Just did that today as a matter of fact.

Oh, I just had a sad thought... that is probably what long-term dieters go through all the time? I guess I mean people who are always eating low calorie, who are often a little hungry day after day. They go through the store and see all the stuff they can "never" have again....

I am so glad for JUDDD and that we JUDDDsters don't diet all the time, but can eat anything in the store we want every other day.

There have been times I had to fight to keep it from starting at midnight. Usually, though, I go to bed thinking I am starving to death, but when I wake up in the morning, I'm just fine! (thank goodness)

And I long ago made a "rule" about getting up in the middle of the night to eat, because if I ever start that, I'm sunk!

DH works at a bar a few nights per week and doesn't get home until 3:00 a.m. So far, he hasn't counted it "tomorrow" at midnight, but one of the bartenders is bringing in home-made enchiladas on Friday (a DD) and he's decided UD starts at midnight so he can enjoy them.

Wow, I don't blame him. I would, too! Where did you say this bar is? I could be persuaded.....

I love the way you can pretty much design your own schedule on JUDDD.
