Haha! My daughter just asked me this morning why I started hanging my bras in the bathroom and I had to explain that I'm losing weight and I only have three that fit right now. So now I have to wear them each twice per week and don't always have time for a mid-week load of laundry, so I'm not putting them in the hamper like I normally do. I'm handwashing when I have a few minutes and hanging them to dry.

"But Mommy, why don't you buy some new bras?"

Oh, from the mouths of babes. 1) They're really expensive since I'm particularly well-equipped. 2) It's a pain to bra shop! 3) Who has time? 4) Poor me, I'm losing so fast I want to wait until I slow down some before making that purchase.

I can't wait until I see results like that!
I've got a large chest and even though I am losing weight, I haven't noticed any shrinkage.

That's awesome!!

Mine was, when earlier this week, I was getting dressed for work and put on my favorite "fitted" black pants, and they were big in the waist and downright baggy in the butt. Those are the only ones I have seen a real difference in, but wow - it was an amazing difference!

I need to buy new bras too. Looked some yesterday, but didn't find anything that fit right. I think bras and jeans are the WORST things to shop for. And I bought undies in a smaller size yesterday too.

Congrats on your loss!

I really downsized on the bras. I bought a bunch this summer and now they don't seem to be fitting very well. Just bought a new smaller size. It feels pretty comfy.

What brands do you guys like? Years ago, I used to think VS was good and lasted forever, but the last ones I bought started coming apart in less than a year.

I have bought misc. brands from Walmart & Kohls and probably other places, but they were just OK.

I think I'm just hard to satisfy because I have certain requirements: don't like straps that are skinny (because of support and digging in) - prefer at least medium width; needs coverage in the front but not like a real thick foam pad; needs underwire or some kind of extra support mechanism; don't care if it's front or back closure; little or none of that embroidered flower detail that shows through thin material; need excellent lift & support!

I use Cacique and get the full coverage bra with the underwire. I'm 42 DDD to 42 F though, so I don't know if they even make "normal" sized bras. I love my Caciques though, better than any other brand I've tried. I thought I was 44DDD and went in to get sized and it made all the difference! I highly recommend getting professionally sized.

Thanks for the rec, Dawn. I haven't heard of this brand and will have to look into it.

In the meantime, I actually found one at Walmart that seems to look and fit my shape quite well. It has the wider straps, adequate coverage in the front of the cup (though not too thick), and has some uplifting padding built into the bottom of the cup for boosting purposes, lol.

Oh you lucky girl! i'm afraid when I get to my goal weight, i'm going to be a 34A again like I was when I was 14. I'm a 36B as of now. Not terrible, but "rack-ier" than normal. I'm gonna miss the boobs!

You're more than welcome to mine. This is a case of "the grass is always greener." I was a 32 C when I was 12. I was quite thin, with these big boobs, and I was 5'9" in 7th grade. School dances were horrifying. All the boys came right to my chest. I've never enjoyed the breasts since. Plus I can't jog for fear of knocking myself out!
