Boy you're up early or late Dottie!!!

UD - yay!! (although it is 9.38am - I only had 215 cals yesterday and I haven't even thought about breakfast!)

B: Not sure
L: Out to eat at a shopping centre - might sound mad - but it has the bestest food court!!
D: Something light - as we're out for dinner tomorrow night - so going to kick in a 24 hour DD from 6-6 (not perfect I know - but I'm making this work - it will be followed by a 27 hour UD, then a normal DD!)

UD for me! And this time, I have a PLAN.

B - Green chili omelette made with browned butter, with homemade salsa and sour cream; Coconut flour caraway bread with butter and jelly (I know it sounds bad, but it tastes really good!)
L - Homemade pot roast made with grass-fed beef and salad (with cranberries and pecans on top)
D - Not 100% sure, but I have been eyeing my neglected Belgian waffle iron and I am thinking about making a cheese "waffle" sandwich. I just like the idea of the crispy, buttery bread with the cheese oozing out.

Today I am going to not eat candy. I think I may have gotten that one out of my system :-)

L: pork dish from last night (400)
S: 2 bacon and chocolate chip cookies (yes, you read that right and they are delish!) (150)
D: shrimp creole-style (not sure how many cals yet, but I have 1,000 to play with)

It's a DD for me. Since I haven't lost anything this first week, I'm going to try a liquid only for today:

Coffee w/ LC milk, 3 protein shakes plus lots of broth, decaf tea, etc.
Maybe that will get the scale going in the right direction.

That sounds good! So you put cheese between 2 plain waffles?

Candy is a killer in WLM, isn't it? So few pieces add up to so many calories! Grrrr. I started JUDDD around the time the Halloween candy was everywhere and even having a "fun-size" was adding up to too much. Was so glad when I got rid of the candy, lol.

I believe you. So cooked, crumbled bacon is part of the cookie recipe? I wonder if my DS would love this - he loves bacon so much, I call him the Baconator sometimes, lol.

It's a FD.

Yesterday was a full fasting DD for 19-1/2 hours, then I ate 850 calories within 3 hours. LOL.

B - Irish Breakfast tea

I have no idea what I'll have to eat. I think we are out of eggs. I might have leftovers from the other night - BBQ pork rib and Hoppin' John.

Nope. Here's the plan:

Heat up the waffle iron.
Get two slices of 35-calorie bread, put cheese between them, and butter 'em up on the outside. (that's real cheddar cheese and real butter...none of that American cheese crap).
Clamp, turn, lick lips, smell delicious melty butter-and-cheese.
EAT cheese sandwich waffle! The point is to get more crusty area than I would normally get with just a regular grilled cheese sandwich.

In past experience, my waffle iron tends to quit before *I* am ready for it to, so it might take an extra cycle. I want hot and melty cheese with a nice crusty outside of bread. Oh, typically I put jalapenos in with the cheese - don't want to forget THAT step!

Ahh, I see. You are using your waffle iron to make a regular grilled cheese sandwich. That's a good idea - I may try that today.

Hehe, I was thinking at first you were doing a sort of Paula Deen concoction of cheese melted between waffles.

Friday--UP day! Yesterday's DD went fine. It helped that I have a cold and wasn't all that hungry to begin with. I hope it goes away quickly as I want the energy boost to come my way.

Today's plan

Breakfast--2% Fage plain with SF coffee creamer. !/4 cup protein plus Special K and 2 TBL walnuts, coffee with sugar free creamer

Lunch--going out for Thai. I have no clue, but will try and keep it healthy and lower carb

Dinner--chicken wings with bluecheese yogurt dressing, fruit, maybe roasted greenbeans, 2 squares of dark chocolate

I'll report back if I have a snack.

ghthat sounds g-o-o-o-d.
al nothing I like better than a sweet, savory combo. Yum.

UD, really a MD, since I have to make tomorrow an UD isntead of a DD

b-coffee with half n half, 2 jumbo eggs made into an omelet with sauteed cabbage (leftover recipe from LC days), parm, and topped with cheddar

l-usually I have 2 chix thighs roasted-again LC- but today will probably only have one, since the cals are high

d-DH wants some of my famous meatloaf-there's one in the freezer so no cooking needed-so that's what I'll have. Maybe have some roasted fennel, which is one of my favorite things in the world.

And that's IT!

UD - the Plan:

B: coffee with WC, Sausage & Eggs
L: Cheeseburger on 2 slices Orowheat Lite WW bread, with lettuce & tomato
D: Hot Wings with Ranch Dressing, Broccoli with butter
S: Coconut Oil/PNB bark

I'm not sure I will have the bread. It doesn't cause cravings or anything for me but I don't really care for it taste wise.

-BBQ pork rib (so tender and juicy/fatty & good!)
-Hoppin' John (a seasoned bean & rice dish - I go a little easy on the rice)
-small slice of lightly toasted sourdough bread drizzled with lots of evoo

Sooo good! I feel like I could eat more, but I will let that sit a bit and see how I feel

Try it with garlic butter sometime- mmm mmm good! Waffle iron gives you so
much more garlicky "surface" than grilled cheese made on a flat pan or griddle.

Me too! Usually I plan more than I can possibly eat.....but if I don't plan, I'll end up eating something stupid like a piece of pie or candy - because I can - and will end the day feeling miserable and not having any nutrition to speak of.

I picked these up from our cafe at work, but I'm assuming you could just add crumbled bacon to a regular cookie recipe. I googled a couple of recipes and might try them at home - I'd like a bit more saltiness than is in the ones I bought.

ETA: My DH always says, "Bacon makes everything better", but he looked a bit freaked out when I made him eat one of these cookies last night

Well, I made it through 2/3 of my omelette for breakfast, and half the bread/jelly, though I finished that as a morning snack (not the omelette).

I just ate the salad for lunch, but there's NO WAY I can eat even a bite of the roast, at least not yet. Maybe a bit of it for an afternoon snack. We'll see!

Yesterday was only about 300 calories, so even if I don't get all today's food in, it should be a big difference between today and yesterday.

B: 80 gms of Grapenuts, 75 ml of hot milk & a cup of tea
S: Semi-skimmed latte
L: Chicago Rib Shack Hotdog (ate half the bun only), their fries and a mouthful of tabouleh
S: Skinny flat white coffee, 1/2 a cinnamon swirl (not as good as cinnabon's!! LOL!!!) and a scoop of chocoloate icecream in a waffle cone.

Have ended my UD on approximately 1800 Cals (maintenance level = 2155, so after yesterday's DD of 251 my average is 1025 - I'm happy with that!) and am starting my DD tonight at 6pm - to allow myself to enjoy dinner with friends and family for the next 2 evenings (fortunately Saturday's dinner will be late - 8pmish - and Sunday's dinner will be early - 5.00pmish). So I have 500 cals max - to eat between now and tomorrow evening at 7 - when I will start drinking champagne!
