Low carbing and JUDDD
New to JUDDD, but not to low carbing. I have been lowcarbing (this time) for about 2.5 years. I eat fruit and veggies, protein and some dairy (love greek yogurt.) Over this holiday season, I was off plan quite a bit and the spirit is willing to be back on plan, but I have been struggling with my appetite and cravings. I feel like I need to stay low carb on up days as I have PCOS and insulin resistance. So I guess my question is "is it doable" to stay fairly low carb and JUDDD? Do people have success with it? I would love to lose about 30-40 more pounds and maintain for the long haul. I don't weigh, but track by clothing size (start LC at tight size 26 and am now 14-16.)

Since there are no "don't eat this" kind of rules, low-carb is doable on JUDDD :)

:welcome: WWC :) Yes it's definitely do-able. You can eat what and how you like on JUDDD since it is has no forbidden foods, but is a method of calorie-cycling. It works with any diet.

I am still doing LC while doing JUDDD and it is working for me. I stay Low Carb for other health reasons, not just for losing weight.

I've done very low carb and JUDDD for the past 3 years with no problems. In fact, if I didn't eat VLC, I doubt that I would have been able to handle my 350 cal DDs, since I am extremely carb sensitive.

I restrict calories for weight management, but I eat low carb for health.

Welcome, WWC! Once you get *into* JUDDD, I think you will find you love it as much as we do.

And as said above, completely OK to do at a low carb level. Or a high carb level. Or vegetarian. Or whatever. WHAT you chose to eat is complete fine with JUDDD and complete up to you. JUDDD only regulates the calories you consume in an Up/Down cycle, but because of the quite low calorie Down Days, semi-fasting, great strides are made in our health status and metabolic responses, our return to more normal appetite levels, etc.
