Not my best month

I was doing great. Started on January 1st and was perfect with everything until Friday. I hadn't lost any sizes or anything but I felt better. But then, I stopped, and I didn't care. Early Friday morning, I had to put my cat to sleep after a very unexpected illness cut his life short; he was only 5.

I am devastated. Needless to say, dieting is taking a back seat right now. I don't know when I'll be back on track, but I'm trying. I don't think I was this distraught when I lost my grandma back in December. :(

So sorry for your loss, MM :console: JUDDD will be here when you're ready to get back to it. :hugs:

MM---

I'm sorry to hear about your kitty....you are in my thoughts and prayers....

piratejenny 01-16-2012 01:34 PM

Aw, honey! I'm really sorry about your cat...your grandma, too. :hugs:

I've been rather stressed & sick lately, and have been IFing instead of counting calories or carbs. I'm still losing a little weight (about a pound a week) and I feel that by maintaining the bit of discipline that IF requires, I'm not getting entirely off-track and could get back to JUDDD or LC more strictly if I need to. I also don't have to think or plan too much about what I'm going to eat...just when.

If I get really hungry during my "no eating hours", I've been having some coffee & cream or chicken broth (also with cream).

I don't know if that would work for you? Just wanted to suggest it since it can be pretty low-stress but might help you feel that you're still in control. :hugs: again.

Oh I am so sorry. I am a major cat-person and understand how completely our pets become our beloved companions.

Restart when you are ready. And take care of yourself!

The kitty in your avatar looks exactly like the kitty I just lost. He was such a sweet cat.

Thanks to everyone for the sympathy.

MM - prayers are with you during this time.

Our cat would of been 18 if he had lived just another 2 months, I remember him enjoying cooked green beans!

We will all be right here when you come back.

Please visit with us from time to time.

One of my best cat friends was a big blue boy I had many years ago. He was such a doll and a lover and snuggler.

So very sorry!! I know how difficult it is to put a furbaby down, especially one so young. They're like our children! You'll get back on track with dieting, take your time grieving. It WILL get better, your memories will comfort you and you'll smile again when you think of him. :hugs:
