Canker Sore and I'm CRANKY!!!
These REALLY hurts and I hate them!! I have one right inside my bottom lip and up against my gum and teeth line! I can't eat right and it's just so annoying!! Forget eating my favorite DD SF gherkins like I love to do! OUCH!!!

I need some natural remedies here, my JUDDD BUDDD to get rid of this pesty thing so I can enjoy my eating again! Everything I eat hurts, especially harder foods!!:(

I can't find it anymore but: Oral-B Amosan - Oral Wound Cleanser is the best thing ever for them.
I have taken to using a hot salt water and aspirin solution (dissolve the aspirin in 2oz water as hot as you can stand it, add 1/2tsp salt and swish it around your mouth and spit it out. The aspirin helps take the pain out, but it still burns.

Bummer, Linda. I think stressful situations can bring those outbreaks on, and I know you guys have been working yourselves into near-exhaustion lately, working to get his house ready.

I almost never get anything like that anymore (must be the peace of being retired) but I do remember I used to pull out my bottom lip and pour a spoonful of dry baking soda there, then let go of my lip to hold the powder-pack in place. It did sting a bit right at first, but it really did seem to take away a LOT of the sting-y pain after that, and I think they even healed up faster from doing this.

We use L-Lysine. It's a dietary supplement...inexpensive...think you can find
it pretty much at any pharmacy. Dentist recommends it too. It says on the bottle: Promotes tissue repair and production of antibodies, hormones and enzymes. Sure works for me!

Canker sores are a classic symptom of gluten intolerance, so if you get canker sores often, it's worth getting checking for gluten intolerance.

I used to get them fairly frequently before I was diagnosed with celiacs. I packed salt into the sore, which hurt a lot for a moment, but made them go away.

I also recommend the hot salt water. I hope it heals up soon!
