Messed up DD?
Hello! I attempted my second DD today -- was doing great (only 170 calories) until my mother in law invited us over for dinner. I ate fajitas minus the tortilla with the fixin's, plus dessert (nutella and Nilla wafers). I am not quite sure how many calories it was, but I would estimate it to be less than 1000 for the day?
My question... what should I do tomorrow? I was planning on an UD, but maybe I should start over with the DD? Or some have said a "medium day"? Thanks for your advice! |

Way too much time on my hands!

I expect we all will have differing opinions about this, and truthfully, anything you choose to do will be just fine, but for myself, I'd just go ahead and have a good UD, being very careful to measure my foods and portions and not go over my calorie allotment for Up Days. Then I'd try another DD on the following day from that. Sometimes events interfere, and that happens to all of us. When you're into this a little further, you'll find adapting your schedule is easier, but for right now, I'd just pretend you did this DD pretty well and go on from here. No real damage done. If you actually only ate 1000 calories or fewer, you still did pretty good.
Have a nice UD tomorrow, and then a successful DD after that.

Yup, like Pat says and I agree: Have a good UD tomorrow and then just move on to the DD the day after. 1000+/- calories will not hold you over, at least it wouldn't me, for a DD so I wouldn't even attempt to try a DD tomorrow.
JUDDD forgives so just move on and remember the fun you had at your MIL today! ![]() ![]() |

I too vote for an UD. This WOE is not about punishment - it's about balance.
You did really well through most of the day - and then ate in the evening - it happens! If you try to DD today - it may feel like a punishment for having enjoyed an evening with people you love - we don't want negative connotations around food etc!! Just have a really good DD the next day! |

Yeah, I agree with the others. You still had a great fast for most of the day and that counts for a lot. But if you tried to do more days in a row on lower calories, it might be too much for your body, so jump into an UD and enjoy
