Choose 1 Favorite Up Day Food and 1 Drink

Thought this would be fun. On UD I have to have at least 2 pieces of bread (either as toast or as a sandwich) Yummmm! For a drink I have to have at least 8 oz of 1% milk. Both bread and milk are the food/drink I seem to ALWAYS have on an UD. Of course I eat other things but these are my go-to ones! How about you?

Just one?

Man, that's tough!

I guess I will have to go with drink: coffee with real cream and food: chocolate! Although my full-fat creamy delicious broccoli cheese soup is a close second.

Mine are absolutely nowhere near as healthy as milk and bread!

Buffalo Wild Wings' Mango Habanero traditional wings. (Once a week lately--today!)

Chardonnay. (Every single UD!)

Yumm..buffalo wings! I love 'em spicy, too. I won't even dare have any of my very favorite drink (chardonnay) because it increases my appetite two-fold! Maybe when I'm in maintenance, I'll go back to it! BTW, I chose bread/milk cuz the other foods I have on UD change a lot, but these 2 are pretty consistant and too many cals for UD for me.

This is remarkably hard, isn't it. As far as beverages go, I guess I drink coffee with half & half OR plain iced tea the most. I rarely drink milk, but choose whole milk for everything. Mostly I have it over cornflakes, or splash a little into my bowl of oatmeal. Now glasses of milk with cookies, still warm out of the oven, but I've probably baked cookies only a couple of times in this last year. I've had CokeCola a couple of time this last year, the nasty HFCS full sweet kind, but I don't drink soda pop of any kind much. I do like coffee beverages when we go out to a coffee shop.

As far as foods, we eat such a variety that it's hard to pick one, but I think I'll go with your pick of breads. Only we don't get much of the pre-sliced grocery store bread in the plastic bags. I really like more the various artisan breads, and occasionally bake bread here, especially a beer/cheddar bread. Man, one of these days I'm going to have to try to find that recipe. Maybe I got it from Recipezaar. Hmmmmm.... This morning I baked an Italian Peasant Batard. Very tasty.

That is hard to pick just one, but off the top of my head, I really enjoy full-fat yogurt or fresh whipped cream with berries.

As far as drinks, I would say wine.

Yes, this! I jumped out of bed this morning and yelled (to myself, so as not to scare the natives) "I can have cream today! YAY!"

And so I did....

For food....well, I still don't eat wheat, and never plan to, but I like bready-cakey-stuff. I found a recipe for chocolate bread made with coconut flour (one serving - takes all of two minutes), so I make that and have a chocolate-peanut butter sandwich with jelly! Now, is that decadent, or what?

Wine for me for sure. Food is hard because I still haven't found my side I guess. I would say nuts but I have had to cut them out for awhile but I do have to have at least a few almonds or walnuts. Omg! This morning I had a piece of Sara Lee light wheat toast with butter and honey. It was the best thing I have eaten in forever! This will be a staple on weekends!

I am so jealous that you're completely off wheat. I really really should be but I have such a hard time avoiding it. I wonder if I could make that bread in a normal oven. I don't have a microwave and I don't want one (no counter space), but I would love to try that and the OMM, too. I may have to do some experimenting myself.

As for my favorite foods for UD, I have actually been too scared to have anything too yummy. Several times I've had either a mixture of sour crem/crcheese/lemon/splenda or ricotta with splenda and cinnamon. Tonight I'm going to really step out and have a pb and banana sandwich! I actually feel nervous about it. lol

I almost never drink anything w/ calories in it, but if I did, it would be whole milk and a big cold glass of it. Yummm.

Coffee with cream and for the food is actually a breakfast sandwich I make every UD when I feel like breakfast:

Bacon, fried and then an egg fried in the bacon grease on a Thomas' Everything Bagel Thin, toasted and loaded with butter!! Seasoned with salt/pepper/garlic powder and I'm in HEAVEN!!

I do think you could make it in a normal oven. If you really want to get off wheat, read "Wheat Belly" by Dr. Davis. That should put the fear in ya

Seriously, I don't preach about it, but I gave up bread back in 1999 and haven't missed it. But it does make a good carrier for other stuff, and on any UD, peanut butter is high on my list of things to eat Peanut butter and chocolate....a taste of heaven, hehe!

If you are interested in the recipe, (regular "bread" or chocolate "bread") PM me and I'll dig it out and send it to ya.

Hehe, I was so close to saying pancakes/waffles/french toast!

The fruit and yogurt or cream is something I have on a more regular basis though, so I went with that.
