I think I need to come up with an easy, low cal snack for mid-afternoon for future DDs, I was seriously starving around 3:30 this afternoon.
Got a question for you, please? Are you breastfeeding that beautiful child in your avatar? If so you can give yourself more calories for you DDs because you are feeding you AND a little one.

OK my first up day and I'm finding this pretty hilarious.

I didn't have the best lunch, some cold leftover pizza, mmm.

But then I had a whole bunch of calories left over for supper.
So:
A baguette with brie, tomato and butter. Nope, not enough calories.
Ok a side of nacho chips and a cup of salsa. Not enough calories.
Added a banana, some almonds, olives, greek salad.

STILL have 700 calories left over. Oy. I have no idea what else to eat.

That is a gorgeous baby! Congratulations, KatEyez!

Today is a DD for me. I fasted until 5:30 (just diet coke -- so healthy, I know!) so first meal then and second meal later tonight, hopefully after kids are asleep because *every*single*time* I sit down to eat on DD's my little one wants to nurse or wants me to get up and get him stuff or he'll just climb all over me. On DD's I want so badly to sit uninterrupted and enjoy my little bit of food. Sigh....

-- shiritaki noodles with angelhair cabbage, big sprouts, green onion, tons of cilantro and lime juice dressing (think this comes in about 130 cals, I still have to do the calculations)
-- vegetable soup, cheese (not sure what kind of cheese, we just got a gift of some kind of fancy cheese in the mail today, hopefully that will be yummy, otherwise probably just some boring old kraft cheddar)
-- sweet and spicey tea with 1/2 T SF coffeemate, a couple of cups, at least

Good grief! What're your upday calories? I feel like mine are so limited at 1880. Maybe it's because I am eating low carb and pretty high fat.

ETA: welcome! and I hope you enjoy JUDDDing. I'm only on day 9, myself, but really liking it so far.

Hah I have 2500 cals on my up day per the calculator. I'm at 1800 so far for the day. I guess I could eat some cheese later. Or a stick of butter.

When I am trying to hold out on eating a little while longer in the afternoon, I often will have a mug of diet Swiss miss cocoa. 25 calories. Lately I've been adding a packet of peppermint mocha instant coffee and doctoring it up with a splash of DaVinci's, too...for a grand total of 30 calories. Hits the spot and tides me over when I'm out of calories or not quite ready to eat.

Good luck!!

didn't end up doing a total fast because i was babysitting and SO COLD and it was embarrassing, so i ate the scraps from the 6 year old's lunch. i think it helped a little! i still kept it real low, ending the day at 206 cals.

Crystal, your baby is beautiful!

DD for me:

B: Coffee with SF creamer- 65
L: Progresso Light clam chowder, chicken bouillon, SF hard candy, Diet Swiss Miss - 250
D: 3 cups cole slaw mix with 2 weight watchers white cheddar wedges and Tapatio - 100

= 415

I have to say that Laughing Cow cheese wedges are so much better than the Weight Watchers. LC is much creamier and more spreadable. It melts better, too. Weight watchers is more translucent and is like hard jello if that makes any sense.

I'll be having a mid day tomorrow because I have a dinner date on Thursday

I am SO jealous! I need a little height to make that calculator tell me what I want to hear!

Ummm, sounds really yummy! What brand is the peppermint mocha and do you get it at a normal grocery store? I have to check it out. How big of a cup do you make, just the 3/4 cup or do you add more water?

ETA: Nevermind! I found it in another thread!

I have been really cold since starting JUDDD. I also got that way once in a while when I was vlc/IF'ing, but it's been every day now. 206 calories is *practically* the same as fasting, imo.

Rubi: I make the peppermint mocha cocoa in a tall coffee mug and just fill it most of the way to the top with hot water. If I use my Keurig for hot water, I choose the largest water setting. I figure since the cocoa packet and the instant coffee packet are each meant to be their own drink that I can really fill my mug to the top when I use the packets together. The one I made this afternoon had a splash of white chocolate DaVinci's added to it...it was a tasty treat.

Man, I wish I had some here! Sounds really good. I might go ahead and have a packet of swiss miss. 3/4 of a cup always seems so tiny to me, though.
