My goal for January is to maintain between 118-120 (testing out if my 3lb window is doable or if I need to up my 120 alittle higher. I do not want to go below 118)

i'm not a goal oriented person, really, other than a specific weight to be achieved whenever it happens. but i think i would like my maintenance goal range to be 125-130.

1/9/12 - MD - 132.4
1/10/12 - DD - didn't weigh
1/11/12 - UD - 133.2
1/12/12 - DD - 132.2 (493 cals, not counting the 2-3 T of coconut oil i had thruout the day)

Ate about 600 cals yesterday. I tried again to fast all day, but I think it works better to eat a little something. I hade a salmon sandwich at dinnertime.

Today is an up day and its like I don't even care? All the other up days I was looking forward to a specific meal/item and today I have no plans at all. Dh and I have a date tonight and neither of us can think of where to go to spend our up day calories. Nothing seems worthy enough. LOL, first world problem, yeah?

This is always a fun thread to check out. If ever anyone was concerned about their weight fluctuations, this really shows that despite it all, the weight can still be down at the end of the week and at the end of two weeks, etc.

Congrats to all the Losers.

Great to see you checking in, Pooti. I miss seeing more of you, but was Wowed to see your nice weight loss.

Janetsbreeze, I'll bet you will be seeing a nice loss once TOM has left. Seems that is what most report.

I'm glad you posted this, because I think sometimes folks get discouraged in the first few weeks of JUDDD because of all the re-adjustments the body has to go through, and the weird up/down eating plan (LOL) and the huge weight fluctuations that are so normal for this plan for most of us.

It's after you've been on plan for a few weeks and really look back over your progress that you can really see the progress that has been made in weight loss! And it certainly doesn't come along in any predictable or smoothly progressing manner, that's for sure!

Thanks, Pat!

It's encouraging to read through everyone's progress reports and keep up hope that this will continue to work!

I was looking through some of my old weight logs from years past today and could see where Atkins Induction and the fat fast have really worked for me in the past, but it was so hard to keep up the momentum after that with just doing low carb, in fact, I didn't.

I am very hopeful that this WOE is going to work in the long term!

I didn't weigh in yesterday or today. My son's home from college this week with his roommate. He's been sick with bronchial problems and I have been without sleep. Given my 'raw' state, I feel like it's counterproductive this weekend.
On the up side, I am strictly adhering to this WOE this weekend.
In times of stress and unpredictability, I have found that controlling one thing--such as my WOE, exercise and what I choose to eat--can give me a level of comfort.
That said, I will go back on the scale tomorrow or Monday...Hope everyone is having a fine weekend.

I restarted Atkins @201 lbs on 11/14/11 and lost 21.6 lbs before starting LC/JUDDD on 01/06/12. I'm still working on getting my UD numbers higher but I love the DDs.

January goal - maintain between 112-115. I'm doing only 3 DDs a week by sometimes having 2 UDs in a row. I had an up day yesterday and will have a free day today. This morning I was still at my all time low! I'll be going out to lunch today with friends and and plan to pack away some calories. I never thought I'd be in this situation where I thought I needed to gain a couple of pounds! I'm not complaining. JUDDD is awesome!

Isn't it fun? Sometimes I think this plan and the results so often finally attained are almost hysterical! You just have to laugh.

You are going to be going to lunch with friends who are going to see you packing away the food, and they're going to be like *How can she eat like that???*

I have been heavy on the carbs lately and my plan is to be very LC today.
Way to go! Just over two pounds per week loss, all while adding in, and getting adapted to, more carbs in your diet! And your weight loss record certainly shows how JUDDD weight loss isn't a smooth road down!

It's wonderful that you are getting a bit more used to some additional carbs in your diet, and I expect as you get adjusted to them, your weight loss will continue to go very, very well and more smoothly even. And being able to eat at a little higher carb level than the very low carb so many of us start at, certainly gives us a whole lot more food choices in life.
